The story is written from the beginning. Akane Kurashiki was a wicked witch. But Clover Field knows very well that people aren't all good or all evil, and underneath it all -- they were friends before they were enemies, and loathed each other before they ever loved.

hi!!! sorry if this is kind of gibberish ^^; im not super eloquent with my thoughts and my knowledge of what happens in the games is a bit spotty due to various memory problems.

mostly i think i like the kind of "weird" dynamic they would have, like a kind of mutual obsession...?

Clover consistently (accidentally) foils Akane's plans and Akane keeps putting Clover in nonary games LOL but Clover is capable of gaming things out in the right circumstances... so ultimately Clover is kind of a useful pawn for Akane even if she causes a lot of game overs.

So I can see a world where Clover gets kind of obsessed with catching up to Akane similarly to Junpei... but I don't think that initially it's because Clover is in love with her, just as a kind of "we shared the same origin but different fates" and "I want to know how you work" and "keep me and my brother out of your stupid games".

in addition to that, I think that Akane sees those around her as pawns before people, because she's so focused on saving herself and then the world. I mentioned before that Clover is a useful pawn for Akane, but I think that if they were to interact more one on one Akane might grow to love her like she did Junpei...

They are both weird girls in opposite ways and I just feel like they complement each other well. Plus it's nice to have somebody that knows mostly what you went through.
