Kankuro Week: Rambling 2
While he may have not gotten an abundance of screen time, Kankuro performed extremely well in the Shinobi war. He faced off with Chiyoh, Sasori, and Deidara, none who were weak by any means. While he would be flattered by being called a hero, it might be a bit soured given he probably lost some very good friends and almost lost his siblings. But this is my theory to it.
