i’m back on my reading kick and I just finished the catcher in the rye. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this book for the last 24 hours. I went into this book expecting it to be a misogynistic piece of shit book that annoying boys like to say is great literature or whatever. but no, I really enjoyed it. like a great amount. I see the complaints about holden being annoying, whiny, and over all kind of an ass. but like have you ever been a teenager? you feel like the world’s against you, the worlds full of fakes and phonies. everything is changing and there’s nothing you can do about it. that is what I saw in it. I don’t know I just thought i’d say a little bit about my opinion because I really enjoyed this book and red flag or not found holden to be a very relatable character. it might be the teenage angst speaking but oh well. definitely a good read
