@frostymuses continued from Bath Time
Kang hummed and chuffed in her throat while she worked. The sound happy and softly echoing off of the 3 stone walls of the bathing-room. The steamy air swirled around them, tinged with the clean scent of the soap Arthemus was using currently. Usually the soap was a variant from this planet that was lightly scented with lemon. But this time it was something else. Something from her home-world. Tangy, sweet, and calming.
Her hands drew the ornate combs through his wet hair with the reverence she always treated them. The combs she meticulously cleaned and kept safe and only used on her own hair. They were made of a large bone, carved into and inlay-ed with iridescent purple shell and pastel pink metal. It carded through his creamy yellow hair, removing tangles without causing even the faintest bit of pain at even the nastiest of snags. When he turned around to look at her she lifted the combs away to give room. Her orange eyes were half lidded with contentment and adoration as she looked down at him. She wanted to make him his own set of combs. He deserved it, and she loved him so. But wanted him to really understand what that would mean for them. The deepest declaration of her choice of him. Apart from all the finery she had already made and given him to wear. The rings and earrings for his horns and ears. The beads and hair clasps with her downy soft green feathers.
She needed to know more about his people’s rituals before she went barreling forward into making his combs and other such nuptial things.
“.... Xa. I vvould be liking tis, my Artemoos-” her mouth curved up into a loving smile and she even leaned down to press her forehead to his. Her antenna curling around his horns as she nuzzled his nose.
