Hi ghost! I'd like to aska bout "Kamorei art special" and "Ue ue ue". Have a wonderful day!
SUPRISE! fake dating au
Now, this mess could have been avoided. But Kamoda is just, honestly, too adorable, and Sagisawa is a sucker. So when Kamoda ushers him quietly into his room and lifts up a blanket to reveal a small, fluffy kitten underneath, Sagisawa can’t help but play along. Yes, cats weren’t allowed in their apartment. Yes, this could get them kicked out. Yes, Karasuma would definitely kill them both if he found out. But frankly, Sagisawa took one look at the small stray and would rather die than release the poor girl back onto the street.
Therefore, Sagisawa and Kamoda found themselves in a bit of a situation. That situation being “stop a curious 3 month old kitten from being discovered by their grouchy roommate.” No matter how hard they try, Aia (as they decided to call her), always, always seemed to break out of her cage. And in the absolute worst places. She’d hide in Karasuma’s bed for 4 hours, and refuse to move, and the two would just have to pray Karasuma would sleep over at his boyfriend’s that night. The other day she hid in the cabinet as Karasuma was trying to take out a bowl, causing Kamoda to slam Karasuma’s hand in it before he spotted her (they’re lucky to have lived that). And yesterday, as Karasuma was doing laundry, she was hiding in the basket, and Sagisawa still has no clue how they pulled off pretending the meows were actually Sagisawa practicing for a voice-acting role.
It’s been about a month of fun and torture. All things said and done, however, the little girl added a nice fun energy to the air, as well ast the fact she was absolutely adorable.
But Sagisawa honestly can’t expect Karasuma to be dense forever. And he knows that he knows something is off.
So when Karasuma comes home tonight after a date with Takayama, he immediately corners Kamoda.
Something Sagisawa has learned, in his many years of knowing the interesting pair that is Kamoda and Karasuma, is that Kamoda is absolutely, without-a-doubt, awful at lying. And Karasuma knows it, too. Kamoda, whenever put on the spot, will either blatantly tell the truth, or come up with the most random, out of left-field lie to cover it up.
And that is why when Karasuma demands to know what’s going on, Kamoda, panicking, squeaks out: “Rei and I are dating?”
The silence that falls on all three is deafening. Sagisawa has to turn away to hide his blushing face and beg the world to stop making his life so unnecessarily complicated.
Karasuma blinks before standing up straight. “You two are actually together?”
“Yep!” Sagisawa wheezes from the kitchen. Why, oh why did this have to be the lie Kamoda picked?!
Karasuma thinks for a long, hard moment. Sagisawa mentally prepares his funeral. Any moment now he’ll figure it out, and that’ll be the end, and Sagisawa is going to have to crash at Umino’s place and-
“Wow, I can't believe you guys actually got your head out of your asses and realized you like each other!” Wait, what- “I thought you guys just did something stupid like get a cat or destroy my camera.”
“Nope! Just, y’know, first couple jitters!” Kamoda laughs, and holy hell how is Karasuma not seeing through this. The taller man slings an arm around Sagisawa’s shoulder, pulls him close in a weird half-hug.
The short black-haired man ignores them as he takes out his phone to nonchalantly check his text messages. “Well, I’m happy for you two. I guess it makes sense to be awkward if I randomly show up and third-wheel.” He shrugs. “Anyways, I’m going to shower and work on my project, you guys haven’t had dinner yet, right? I can order if one of you picks it up.”
“Sounds good to me.” Sagisawa calls, watches Karasuma shut the door to his room with his foot, the sound echoing around.
Sagisawa immediately puts his head in his hands, before looking up and loudly mouthing: “WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!”Kamoda gestures back, clasping his hands and loudly whispering back a “I PANICKED, OKAY?!”
ok so i had this series idea where i would write different aus into one giant fic under the guise that takayama can travel to different universes and he just kinda. pulled eishi along. i might go through with this one honestly
“Where are we…?” He turns around, trying to keep in mind his surroundings. They’re in some sort of hallway, with large open windows and fancy carpets.
Takayama floats from beside him, before gently landing, his white wings forming the semblance of an outfit, feathers curling in a cape.
“Somewhere.”
“How helpful.” Karasuma chastises. “Is this another one of your ‘worlds?’”
Before the dreamed-up Takayama replies, someone brushes past him. Karasuma turns, ready to scorn, when he stops dead in his tracks.
“Is that...me?” Karasuma tilts his head as he watches this...other version of him briskly walk down the hallways: his garb is old fashioned, a satchel at his side as he scribbles furiously away in a notebook before snapping it shut. He starts to pace down the stairs, and the real Karasuma, curiosity winning out, starts off in a sprint after (with Takayama in tow).
This fake Karasuma bounds the corner once on the ground floor, stepping out into a large garden. Faintly, it reminds Karasuma of the abandoned lot by Takayama’s house, but more well-maintained, with professional trimmings and in full bloom.
“Woah.” Karasuma breathes, looking up at the bright blue sky and letting his eyes dwindle their way down to the tree lines, then down to the bushes. His clone walks past bundles of flowers strewn in the grass, before reaching a large tree in the middle.
“Prince.” This Karasuma addresses to the branches in the tree, his voice slightly deeper than the current Karasuma (he concludes he must be slightly older). “You really shouldn’t be neglecting your duties.”
A voice hums from the trees. “You’re neglecting yours too, keeper.”
“I’ll have you know that I just came back from errands.” He huffs. “Tatsume had me pick up stock from the next kingdom over.”
“And now you’re here.”
“I was asked to find you. Everyone always comes to me when you’re lost, you know.”
“Is that so?”
“It’s ridiculous. Why would they expect me to know?”
“You found me, didn’t you?”
“...Are you coming down or what?”
A tanned hand peaks out from the foliage.
Karasuma watches as the other boy hesitantly takes it, before yelping as he’s pulled up into the trees, one of the books falling to the ground, pages open. He hears muffled yelling, followed by some laughter.
“Why am I here?” Karasuma asks, to the winged Takayama standing a few feet back.
He shrugs. “They show up at random.”
