The 'KalyaaNi' (stepped tank) at the Suchindram Temple, Kanyakumari, India. This temple exists very close to the southernmost tip of the Indian peninsula. Of the many lores associated with this place, one explains why the temple acquired the name 'Suchindra'. Infatuated with Ahalyaa, the beautiful wife of Rishi Gautama, Indra approaches her taking the physical appearance of the Rishi to satisfy his desire.
