Josiah, who's mental handicap wasn't acting up, sat on the floor with Rosie, letting her crawl over him. She giggled loudly, plopping on her butt and grabbing his hair. The Stretton Patriarch smiled, but then he wrinkled up his nose, "I think Rosie needs her diaper changed." "Shoot," Maya murmured, about ready to set Willow down, "I left her diapers upstairs in the nursery." "I have her, Maya, don't worry," Josiah replied with a smile, standing up and holding the little girl, "We're going to fly!" He shouted playfully, lifting her up and zooming toward the stairs, the sound of Rosie's giggling fading as they got farther away. It couldn't have been two minutes later when a chill went through the house. Maya shivered, glancing up at Eli, not knowing that he would be able to feel it more than anyone. Thunder rumbled outside, the lights flickering, "I didn't know it was supposed to storm today," Maya murmured, cuddling Willow closer to her chest.  Lisbee came out a moment later, frown on her face, "I'm going to take some food up to your Uncle," she told Eli, brow creased, "And see if he'll work on the lights a bit. Your food is on the table." She smiled at her daughter, wishing only that Jace were home with them as well before moving to the steps.  Her scream split through the house, agonized and terrible a moment later.
