It's a little funny that the way I got interested in Dottore was because of my unhinged need to explore everything. Sumeru would always be my favourite nation and I'm always nostalgic for it cause I played Genshin a patch before it's introduction.
I remember finding all the Zandik notes and was entertained by this guy being everywhere exploring like me. I looked forward to finding them whenever I head out to explore some more. When I learned that Dottore was Zandik after that, I got so attached jsjsjsjsj

Man, I'm still reeling over the end of TF2 last comic and idk what to do with myself lol
This game means the world to me since I fell into its rabbit hole in 2011/12. I've met lots of people through this silly little game and it was the start of me falling in love with art and just creating things again
I'm so happy we got to see how everything is wrapped up and that last panel made me sob
I don't know if I have time to doodle it later but my sibling and I were just goofing around talking about Dottore - the concept if Zandik can't properly go back to Irminsul because his soul was fragmented so during his original death he's stuck in that weird in-between where the leyline ghosts are
And imagining that he gets frustrated when the Segments get deleted they are chilling there with him waiting for Omega to kick the bucket only for the moon goddess Dottore to come along and then peace out during the Datatorre phase djjdjsjs
These are just 2am rambles ignore me I might forget key events
Now that I think a little more about it, it would be neat if Dottore's revival is really tied to the regrowth of the burnt Irminsul.
Since the roots are all that's left, perhaps maybe his ressurection story is tied to Irminsul regrowing back into the tree it originally was as a fount of knowledge during the dragon era. Dottore and all his 400 years of life as his segments consolidated back into one person, Zandik through it.
It would be a little funny if it was like a summer event and we follow like a fragmented Dottore representation through it so we can get context of his backstory like how we follow mini-Durin during Simulanka. A little Dottomon ;3;
Then, I guess the first step into his new arc, we help him regrow the tree and he in turn becomes a more whole person with all his segments memories/perspectives that he can properly self-reflect on. Though, I don't know if it serves his character if he remains a human after this or some new avatar of this new tree that is responsible for disseminating knowledge after years of chasing knowledge for himself.
I will say if it's an event we get to experience, it would be funny if it's a wholly unexpected character involved in the story like how Wanderer was to Durin's. My heart wants it to be Layla but it would be whiplash to me if it's Dori of all people kdasdjaskdhaksdj idk her Jinni might be the gurabad parallel its late my brain is slow 🫠
Regardless, it would be nice if it's still heavily Sumeru related with sumeru characters cause it's so important to Dottore's character and history.
I have an s6 Baizhi and you know what's tragic I realised about her kit
In her character stories, Baizhi was someone who doesn't make wishes but the only time she did, she wished her research team would wake up after a horrific incident during an expedition.
And an s5 Baizhi has the ability to revive teammates 😭😭😭

The fact that Wriosthesley started making his gauntlets at such a young age and out in the streets is making my heart ache. He had to use trial and error as well as picking up any skill or information that he could to improve on every iteration. I can't help imagine this poor baby spent many lonely nights working on them with feverish intent to stop his parents and save current and future children from their clutches.
And he most likely used them to kill his parents too when he returned back to that hell. Imagine the constitution and resolve he needed to end their lives with his own two mechanical fists.
Scylla and Remus being the tragic previous incarnation of Neuvillette and Wriothesley is doing something to my brain
I might get some things wrong while im hc and speculating, so take it with a pinch of salt and correct me for innacurracies ajajsjdk
But Scylla working with Remus; one kingdom being in the depths of the sea and the other in overworld is such a neat parallel to the Fortress of Meropide and the Court of Fontaine. Though now, the dragon and the wolf has switched places. Scylla entrusts Remus with the goblet of Primodial Sea which is essentially the dragon sovereign of water's blood (heart of you wanna go there). Though later Remus betrayed that trust by hunting Scylla's subjects as well trying to replace all of the Sea with golden ichor.
Wriothesley's fortress guards one entrance to the primodial sea. While its not a goblet, I can't help but be a lil delulu how Neuvillette entrusts Wriothesley to watch over the gate that guards what is essentially his heart and blood.
A personal headcanon I have for Wriosthesley is that his gauntlets and his signature catalyst being a mechanical device aids him using his vision. Since vision theft is a thing in the fortress, he had to hide it and probably wasn't able to use his so by the time its safe for him to use it he would struggle quite a bit.
I like to think he has good mastery over it now but it's also a cute thought having him mirror Razor somewhat who needed to be taught how to use his electro vision.
