TW: ATTEMPTED SUICIDE

The fact that my father was walking into a lake..

I knew what was happening before my eyes…

I knew he wasn’t in the right state of mind…

I knew I needed to do something..

Yet…

I was frozen in utter fear..

I couldn’t move..

I was paralyzed while I watched my father be lured into a lake, willingly… To an illusion of my mother..

Rusty’s need for fire fell on my deaf ears as I stood superglued in place..

I wanted to scream for him….

But I couldn’t..

The fact that I knew, that my father was attempting suicide right before my eyes…

I shook with fear, I had never been so scared….

Yes, I was scared before…

But this…

This was a new meaning….

To ”fear”…

Yeah, I just wanted to give more angst, something I thought about after watching Monstrosity for like the 15th time, in my AU, Raibaru is separated from her brothers during the Merge after Kai and Luna sent them off to hopefully escape it since they didn’t know what it was, so Raibaru was by herself up until the Tournament of Sources (as I headcanon that there can be more than one elemental master of the same element, two at the most, so once the newest elemental master of that element has a child, the previous one will lose that power). But it brought to my mind, what if she was with her dad? Her mother’s off trying to save a village in the immediate after-Merge trying to keep her body from being overrun with a black root disease that turns people into trees, while her dad’s simply trying to survive as well. Perhaps she can be the anchor he needs? Anyways, I know this absolutely makes no sense and I’m just blabbing but hey, I had an idea and wanted to share 🤷‍♀️
