More Kaiyo lore YIPEE

Here is the Kaiyo/Optimus summer piece, since he won the poll! This one took a while, and there are a couple…details I added if you squint *wink wink*

I had an idea for a silly Ratchet thing coming up, and of course Threepio’s summer piece which I’m already getting ideas for :)

Usually I’d put something witty but am tired, just look at the Prime and his conjunx 🥰

Okay so. I’m going to be honest despite my name I’m actually not a totally canon divergent person, I actually stick to it somewhat closely when it comes to fanfic. It makes it easier to picture myself being in canon, you know? (Aside from AUs. No rules we go crazy) Except canon ships, none of that nonsense 😌 So I’m just going to say how my fic differs from canon slightly.

Hmm, let’s see…

I made season one longer because Orion Pax, Parts 1-3 are shoved into the finale. For me, the season ends when Kaiyo (with the help of Starscream) escapes from the Nemesis (decepticon’s warship) and she returns to the bots. Also, instead of those “episodes” focusing on how the others plan to get Orion/Optimus back, they focus on Kaiyo’s capture instead and how the decepticons are attempting to use her as a weapon against the autobots. Only it backfires on them. Miserably. :)

More screentime for characters that aren’t fleshed out as much. Namely, June and Fowler. Fowler and Kaiyo have an interesting dynamic I love to write, and I wanted Kaiyo to have more human friends so she’s close with June. And to clarify, I don’t ship June and Fowler. June gets a different love interest, shall we say…

Oh, and June finds out about the bots sooner. I think it takes her like 17 (!!) episodes to finally find out, and it’s because MECH kidnaps her. I think she’d get suspicious way sooner, and maybe even be in disbelief before she comes to accept it. Also, more June screentime.

One of the biggest ones. The episode “Stronger, Faster” happens earlier in the season, too. And Ratchet doesn’t fight Megatron, leading to the cons getting their hands on Synth En. They still obtain it, just not through Ratchet. Because Ratchet is too busy admitting he likes Kaiyo a little more than he lets on…whoops!

More Knockout screentime. I really like the idea of Kaiyo getting along with some cons despite the fact they supposedly hate each other. Her relationship with Knockout is…interesting, to say the least.
