Chapter 2: Then There’s A Glimpse

The rhythm changes, shifts so the crowd moves closer to the DJ stage and an opening parts for him. Elated, Viktor takes his chance, diving through the hole made and reaching. His fingers close around a slender wrist and pulls.

“Hey, I know what you’ve been up to and--”

The face that stares back at him isn’t a face he expects to see.

Kiss shivers as Aomine runs his fingers over Kise’s sun-kissed back. A honeymoon on the beach is what he wanted and what he was told they couldn’t afford to do because of time constraints. Aomine had games, Kise had modeling gigs.

But Aomine had surprised him last minute with tickets, and luggage full of his favorite relaxation gear. And maybe a basketball or two.

It was only day three, but Kise’s skin had darkened enough that he knew his agency would have a few choices words about it. After all, his porcelain skin and blond hair are all a part of his appeal.

But Kise doesn’t care if his skin darkens or his hair bleaches in the sun. He doesn’t care because Aomine traces every tan line with his fingers, with his lips and makes every moment of this subtle difference worth it.

“Five, six…”

Kise lifts his head off the pillow and glances over his shoulder. “What are you doing?”

Aomine’s eyes flicker upward, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He tips forward, pressing a soft kiss just above Kise’s shoulder blade.

“Did you know your back freckles when you tan?”

Kise’s eyes widen. “Freckles?”

“Mm…” Aomine traces his finger from one freckle to the next. “I like it.” His eyes soften as he reaches Kise’s lower back. “Like my own personal constellation.”

Kise feels the heat rise to his cheeks and turns away to push his face into the pillow. “Sappy,” he mumbles.

Aomine chuckles, a deep, soft, lazy sound. “You like the sappy shit.” He lets his arm collapse, sprawling out along Kise’s back.

“Heavy,” Kise grunts, reaching his back to thread his fingers with Aomine’s.

“Mm,” Aomine hums as he presses his face into Kise’s neck. “You love me.”

anything with MUTUAL PINING but idk… I’ve written a bunch of college type aus, but that’s not really a favorite, it’s just what comes out of my head. probably the (f.r.i.e.n.d.s.) neighbor au with bokuaka & kuroken that I wrote the majority of in like a few weeks. that was a fun one haha

“Kou, are ya naked? I’m comin’ in!”

Akaashi’s eyes widen before he makes to dive underneath the water. Bokuto catches him and whispers, “no, it’s fine. It’s just–”

But just before Kuroo makes a show of bursting into the bathroom, Akaashi has already submerged, air bubbles popping the surface. Kuroo’s gaze zeroes in on them with an amused quirk of his eyebrow.

“Beans?”

It takes Bokuto a few seconds to realize what Kuroo means, his hands skimming the water and gathering the soapy bubbles to hide the evidence. “Oh, yeah! You know what they say, good for the heart! The more you eat, the more you fa– um, did ya need somethin’ or did ya just wanna peek at the goods?”

Kuroo snorts and pulls a face. “You wish. I’m too young to go blind.”

“I resent that! These are prime goods. Ask Akaashi.”

“I’ll be sure to put that on my to do list,” Kuroo says with a chuckle. “I was about to get food with Kenma and wanted to see if you guys wanted in.”

“N-Nah,” Bokuto says, nervously eyeing another air bubble rising from where Akaashi remains hidden from view. “But thanks for the invite! Close the door behind you before my balls shrivel up like prunes.”

Thank you for asking!!Purple: Which of your characters would become your sworn enemy?

I have been antagonizing over this question since I read it and I honestly don’t know. I love my characters so much (even my villain to some degree actually there’s just one that is kind of okay and I think I might have to rewrite her if I don’t love her???) And I’m also the type of person who feels so guilty hating a person (I think there’s only one person I hate in the world currently) so I don’t know if I can have a sworn enemy. Also every time I think about a character an ask myself “Could this person be my sworn enemy” I instantly get guilty and mentally apologize to them so…I think I’ll pass. Oh! Nevermind, Luis might become my sworn enemy. He’s kind of an asshole and I don’t really like him but I needed him for another characters backstory. I don’t know much about him either. :)

Gold: Do your stories usually contain lessons or morals?

Yes…I mean for my original novels I try to put lessons or morals in them I just don’t know if that translates. For anything other than my original novels (e.g. fanfiction or little original short writing things) I don’t usually. Sometimes I might but other times not really since it’s more for fun or to warm myself up.
