I have sauce on my feet.
"Kai!"
The boy appeared, silently, and Fenrir held out the owl. Kaijahn looked at him, eyes wide and foreboding, and Fenrir raised his eyebrows. "You know what to do."
Kaijahn dropped his eyes, and put a hand on the owl's head. There was a green flash, and the bird stopped kicking. Fenrir blinked.
"Does that work with people?"
Kai swallowed, and shrugged. He'd been very wary of Fenrir since he'd forced him to watch the pack butcher his mother, and his silence made him difficult for the werewolf to read.Â
Kaijahn dropped the owl at his feet, and Fenrir narrowed his eyes. Was that a move of submission or defiance? The boy went to curl up in the corner he'd claimed for himself, and Fenrir decided to let it drop. He scooped the owl up, tossing a wing at Thane, and one at Marie, before digging into the breast meat.
