Kaidan flopped down next to Lucien, wrapping his arm around his husband.

"Is it just me, or is fucking even better when we're stoned?" he asked Lucien.

"It's not just you, believe me."

Kaidan snuggled against Lucien, sighing happily. "Let's go to sleep, love."

Lucien pulled the blanket over the two of them, clicked the lamp off, and nestled his hand in Kaidan's hair.

After a few minutes of almost-sleep, Kaidan suddenly snapped awake like he always does when he's high. He tried to go back to sleep.

"I'm hungry."

"Lucien, you're always hungry when you're high." Kaidan rolled onto his back and laughed softly at how Lucien was slurring his words.

"I want... Chimken tendies..."

"And you always want Bojangles."

"That sounds so fucking good right now."

Lucien sat up and checked his phone. It was only 8:36, he should be able to Doordash something now.

"You're ordering Bojangles aren't you."

"Hell yeah, whatcha want?"

"...4-piece supreme."

"Love, the food is here."

Lucien slowly stood up. He'd thrown on some boxers and one of Kaidan's hoodies. "Yeah yeah, lemme go get it."

He left the room. Kaidan puts his foot on his pillow and lays his head on the pile of blanket that Lucien left, because high people do stuff like that.

Lucien walked back into the room holding the Bojangles bag.

"She has arrived."

Kaidan laughed. "Are you gendering our chicken tenders?" He paused for a moment. "Chicken genders."

"Yes, she's gonna be tasty."

"Please rephrase."

Lucien laid the bag next to Kaidan's face. "Nah. Take your chicken."

Kaidan sat up clumsily, swirling around to face the bag so he could take his food out of it.

He opened the box of food as Lucien retrieved his own.

"These fries look fucking awesome."

Lucien opened his box and immediately grabbed his honey mustard to open it. As soon as it was open he grabbed a tender and dunked it.

"Well, the chicken is."
