Kaibat AU, GX variant: there is an entire course at the academy revolving around bats. No one is sure why it exists because they still haven’t really noticed that Kaiba is a bat.

For some reason I had this idea that instead of carrying around Seto’s briefcase in this Kaibat AU, Mokuba carries around this absurd, ancient, potted bonsai so that his bro always has a nice, convenient place to roost while he’s running card tournaments and such. True to form, Mokuba never complains about having to carry a tree around or, for that matter, ever acknowledges that his brother is a bat at all. It’s driving Jou up a wall.
The bonsai just happened to bloom during Battle City. A good omen.
And I guess Isono runs behind carrying the briefcase or something. Whacking people with it on command.

In other news, Kaibat has an admirer whose amorous advances he hasn’t been able to ward off yet. Kaibat’s resolve is weakening.
