Warnings: talk of cancer, death, health issues

So I know I have not been uploading much recently. A lot has been going on and a lot is about to happen. Here’s a life update lol:

1) A close friend was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, which is a type of cancer. After doing some research and talking to medical professionals, I’ve learned that the survival rate is very low and if you do survive, there are lifelong effects from the chemo and radiation. She has maybe a year left, so I’ve been dealing with that.

2) I am very close with my grandparents on my mom’s side and my grandpa has had heart troubles as long as I’ve been alive. He’s been to the hospital several times and has had even more operations. He said that he’s not doing that this time. His episodes are coming back and he said that he isn’t going to the hospital or having another surgery. I don’t know how much longer I have with him.

3) My family is moving churches to a place where I know no one and I struggle with making friends. I’m losing most of the ones I have at the church I go to now, and our last day there is this sunday. So I’ve been trying to cope with losing people and making new friends at the same time.

4) I am one of three color guard captains, and am going to a leadership camp this week. Then after that, the season starts so I will be super busy.

Anyway, this is what’s been up and why I haven’t been writing much.
