I’m sure I’ve posted this before but it still makes me snicker so fuck it.
“This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever done,” Kai muttered, even as he held the small cat up, letting her grip awkwardly at the mesh covering the small opening.
*I know that to be a lie,* Destiny chided, turning her feline head and nipping his hand as she did.
“Do that again and I will drop you,” Kai threatened.
*Quiet. I’m working.” She wriggled in his hands before finally hissing. *There isn’t enough of a ledge here. I can’t do proper magic in this form so I need you to remove the grate so that I can get in.*
“Sure, let me go-go-gadget my hands real quick.” He tugged her down and held her up to his eyeline. “Destiny, I have a cell phone on me. They’re getting real fancy but I don’t think they come with those kind of attachments.”
“Who you talkin’ to, son?”
Dammit. Still holding Destiny, Kai half turned to face a very confused police officer. “Uh …”
He swept his flashlight over Kai, nearly blinding him. “Is that a cat?”
Kai looked down at the black-and-white cat in his hands and mumbled, “Sorry, Destiny,” before shouting, “Cat Dart!” and tossing her toward the officer.
He’d never heard such an unearthly shriek in his life. And given the volume of enraged hissing and yowling, Destiny was none-too-pleased either.
“I’m probably gonna die,” he huffed, pounding down the sidewalk as the sounds faded behind him.
The door to the office opend, a kid not older then 14 walking in with a file in his hands
"Mr. Walker, Kristal manted me to give you-"
He stops mid-sentence after noticing the sranger standing there alone

The man stood over nearby Kimis desk, on his hands old case files that he closed and placed them down, turning around to look at the kid that just got in up and down, an unpleasent suprise. “... Kai, Kai walker.” he replied, his arms moving to cross over his chest after he adjusted the gold heart on his little jabot that held a rose quartz on the golden heart made of metal. He ran a hand through his hair, it was hard to see his eyes overall. He stood in about being 190cms tall, wearing a vest with a beige shirt under it. His gloves only had attatchment to his middle finger on his left hand, his right hand held some rings on it.
His hair was visible dyed, you could see the brown hair roots, but his hair was mainly colored red. His look was focused on Basil, the kid that had just got in. His eyebrow rose a bit, he seemed to know his sister brother. “who are you? And how do you know little kim?” he almost demanded his answers. His right hsland resting over the files he was holding just moments ago when basil first got into the office. He wasnt seemingly the most kind guy, but at first glance he didnt seem that bad either...
“ ... Do you not regret it all, Kai? ”
The voice from the shadows sounds, leaning against a wall as kai watches everything unfold, neither seem too amazed by everything going on, it appears. But despite it all- it still concerns this one demon, even if against his better judgement.

The silence between the soul and the demon is almost deafening as Kai observes all the drama- sucessfully enough- hes managing to throw the family appart. Keeping kimi busy out the house with his puppet help, making sure basil is also busy leaving bertie against the family... Its all working into his favour now, isnt it? Ofcourse.
A smirk grows into his face as he chuckles, his hand moving over to his mouth as he watches.
“no, i dont see why i should regret it.”
