In Legend of the Seeker fantasy world, Confessors and Mord-Siths are mortal enemies. Confessors serve the Seeker when he arises and Mord-Siths are sworn to protect Lord Rahl. Richard Cypher happens to be both. That's how Kahlan and Cara, a Confessor and a Mord-Sith come to work together despite their different world views and values. Like fire and ice, day and night, their connection isn't easy but full of surprises and sparks.
