Is it weird I find Kahamet kind of hot?
On Tumblr? The monster fucker site?
So the latest DHD update got me thinking, like usual, and I ended up wondering - does/can Kahamet take deals?
Like omg! Just imagine having a deal with the CEO of the Death Heads! 😆 I looked through a bunch of older posted that mention or tagged Kahamet, but didn't see anything related to this thought, but I could've missed it.
Also, while looking through older posts, I had another thought (inspired by Grimm) - what if someone was born with face markings that made them look like they were wearing Death Head makeup?
Just some world building questions for you, the characters, and other fans to have fun thinking about :3
Kahamet, based on what I know now, is only running the organization. He "makes deals" in a way that his elites handle the deals. Kahamet assigns them to these special clients based on Elites' skills and client needs. In that sense, he is like a faction leader for the Elites.
Elites themselves can't make deals, unlike normal Death-Heads, but all goes through Kahamet or the HQ. I expect that Yomi's deal was something where the client was an important person with lots of resources, ready to do absolutely anything to get Kizzie out from the music industry, and thus an Elite was assigned to this client to make it quietly. It did involve public image and media, because Kizzie would need to explain why she quit so quickly. Think Elites as a secret organization hustling behind the scenes. Like Men in Black threatening people with alien encounters, and these men in black work for the shadow government and part of extremely secret military operations which don't officially exist. Kahamet is the head of it.
(I have a hunch that there are 5 Elites, just like there are 5 areas in Lywood).
As for someone being born with a mask resemblance, I guess that to some extend that could happen but not likely to such extent that it is identical to existing masks. Hopefully, at least, for the person's sake!

Just saw DHD update and I feel so bad for Kizzie ;^; It was nice that the client didn't have her outright killed. I am excited to see where this goes! Love all your works too!
You're correct; a hitman job would have been acceptable, especially for an elite Death-Head like Yomi. While hitman jobs and such are regulated and overseen so that the organization doesn't just fall into a chaotic murder rampage (and doesn't attract unstable and genuinely dangerous people, who want to find a legal way to do illegal things), these cases are more open for elites.
Since Yomi and the other Central Death-Heads (I think there might be 4 of them in total) work right under Kahamet's command - and he has underlined that he created Lywood's Death-Heads and it is a law if he says so - they have more freedom. Sure, they are also a lot more expensive and thus more dangerous to hire. They generally operate in shady things like in politics and such, so I assume that whoever wants Kizzie to be gone is extremely desperate, very rich or very influential person in the society. That's because Elite Central Death-Heads aren't available for hiring just for anyone.
I'd like to think that Kahamet is the one who either approves or disapproves the deals presented for his elite ones.

I love Kahamet, but he also slightly frightens me. I wonder if he has ulterior motives when it comes to Plague
You never know what Kahamet is up to... Or so it feels like to me.
scrolling here i reached the last chapter again and it made me think. Plague says no one denies the Boss. But doesn't Alrick? I remember a chapter earlier on where the Boss approaches Alrick about leading the faction he is part of, but Alrick refused the request... or had it been just a suggestion and not a outright request then?
We have seen Alrick violating Death-Head rules and taking matters into his own hands, if he deems it as a right thing to do. He won't hesitate to say no to authorities either, Kahamet included.
I also think Kahamet favors some Death-Heads and those might be able to "resist" him more than those Kahamet doesn't favor. It seems Grimm is Kahamet's favorite but he also seems to think highly of Alrick. Imagine perhaps, that when compared to other Death-Heads, Kahamet views Grimm and Alrick as his employee "sons".
EDIT: having said this, it doesn't mean that Alrick wouldn't walk on dangerous road for resisting Kahamet's will.
Stealing a car is a bad idea. Stealing a Death Head's car is an even WORSE idea.
It's THE worst idea, especially if you do not return their stolen good. They're going to send Death-Heads after you to get their goods back and even if all went legally just fine, you don't want to have a mark on Death-Heads' records of you messing with them.
Though, I assume that would you steal Kahamet's property, like his work car, he would sent the Elites after you and THAT'S BAD. That's a group which is above the law and there won't be any consequences. Kind of same way as you hear from, for example, some alien encounters and whistleblowers saying that USA military made me sign papers and never tell anyone, because I would be killed and they'd tell my family I went MIA. Or mafia, which is connected to a police and will get away with things due corruption and their overpower over authorities.
