Miraculous fanart: Kagalyanette/Alyagaminette (Monster Girls' Party)
I show you a pair of drafts about Marinette, Kagami and Alya as together.
This happens in an AU:
In this scene, Marinette is a detective on fantasy, Supernatural and monsters. She is helped by Kagami who is a Dragon humanoid girl and Alya who is a Fox-themed Werewolf/Werefox. Their designs come from my previous posts in the mlbfemslashfebruary 2026 event (see my summary).
The story (tw: suggestive):
Marinette joins Kagami and Alya in an unknown place at night. But she didn't expected to see her two best friends' real forms: they are in fact fantasy beings.
Kagami as a half-dragon girl
Alya as a werewolf/werefox girl
The two monster girls invite the detective girl to tell their common secret to her. They planned to confess that since a long time. Despite her hobby to catch and record monsters for her blog, she accepts the two monster girls for their real forms.
While the bluenette maintains her trust toward her two fantastic girls, the two latters confess another common secret in return: they both have a crush on their detective girl.
The Kagami's and Alya's confession is also a act of thankfulness to Marinette for accepting them about what the really are. The detective girl, firstly confused and astonished, decides to accept to spend a girls' party with her two monster "girlfriends".
The next morning, Marinette wakes up and she wears her casual civilian clothes. But, by watching in a mirror, she notices something is wrong about herself: She is physically transformed into a fantasy monster. She has fox ears, a canid nose, a lot of light-blue fur on her face, dragon claws on her forearms, demon horns, wings on her back and a dragon-fox tail. She is now a Dragon-Fox hybrid girl.
A surprised monster Marinette goes to request Kagami and Alya (who are fascinated/pleased by her girlfriend's new form) for explanations about what happened during the night. And the two monster girlfriends tell everything:
During the previous night, Alya and Kagami transformed Marinette by sharing their monster DNA with her at moonlight. They just say that they rewarded her a sign of love to her favourite human girl. And now, she is like them. Meanwhile they accept to help her to keep control on her transformation to remain as human. So Marinette can be human and monster at will.
The End(?)
Bonus:
Dragon Kagami design Werefox Alya design
Hey punch, I know that you prefer to make long series or one shots that imply as much, but how would you rewrite ml in a single chapter to end the superhero part? As in, we can move to the civilian one without drama or is it impossible with the LS around?
You mean ending the show now? Well, I'd end it at s2.
Nathalie is not in love with Gabriel, got pressured into being his akuma so seeing him get cornered was a relief. The brooch is taken from HM, Gabriel is exposed, Chat goes away quickly not able to handle the truth. Gabriel his caught and swiftly jailed.
Later, he returns his miraculous to Fu, along with the Peafowl that Nathalie gave him revealing that it's broken and was potentially the cause of his mother's state. Adrien approaches Fu to give him the Cat and Peafowl, reveals his mother's state, and Fu goes to revive her. Once revived and better, Adrien confirms to Fu that he wants miraculous out of his life. He is officially done and just wants to be with his mom.
Marinette comes by later when Fu is home and returns the Ladybug, Fox, Bee, Turtle, and Butterfly to Fu. He offers her Guardianship to her, and not exactly ready to give up on miraculous as they are a big help to people, she agrees, though its time to put away the earrings and takes on a new miraculous.
With Emilie's weakened state, the Agrestes plan to move to London to be with her maternal family while she heals. Adrien says his goodbye to everyone (only keeps in touch with Chloe and Nino as those are the only friends he truly cares about and has a relationship with).
New hero Marientte continues on, with a few heroes, old and new, making cameos to assist Paris' new residential hero. She actually starts dating Luka and is happy. Fu is retired and is happily with his long love Marianne.
Chloe and Lila become better with no Adrien to get in the way of Marinette calling them out, and Sabrina's father moving away, leaving Chloe Sabrinaless and needing to really adjust to not having her eager servant there. They do stay in touch and Sabrina is thriving without Chloe. It's no longer a thought to serve Chloe anymore. And with Lila, she had gotten called out by Alya, and the class confronted her long after and she had to own up to her lies. After two weeks, Marinette made that first move of approaching the isolated Lila, who begrudgingly accepted it, unable to really handle the cold purposely ignoring anymore.
Kagami came to town and her and Marinette hit it off immediately, becoming fast best friends. When Alya and Nino split due to tension, there's implications that there could be something happening between her and Kagami, though no one knows for sure.
A year later, Adrien returns with his moms, Nathalie and Emilie getting married a month ago.
He's happy to see Chloe and Nino again, says hi to the rest of the class, and later approaches Paris' new hero, asking if she is Ladybug.
He receives a vague answer.
Presuming that she is or that she at least knows Ladybug, he reveals that he is Chat Noir, that he is sorry for ghosting her like that, and admits that he had pinned some blame onto Ladybug herself for the outcome, but now acknowledges that the only one he should've been upset with was his father.
Later, the new hero comes to bring him the Cat, Adrien doesn't return to being a full time hero, but he joins the temp heroes, and enjoys seeing Plagg again. Coincidentally, Marinette makes more of an effort to connect with him and they are slightly better friends, though she's not in Adrien's tight circle. There are implications that Adrien and Nino may become more in the future, a far more true love than the fantasy Adrien stubbornly pursued last year.
Gabriel is still jailed.
Nooroo and Duusu are better and happier.
Everyone is happier and thriving.
The End.
Day #69: two pretty best friends

"But…" said Marinette, who had been to Sunday school, "I thought God created everything?" Alya nodded solemnly. "Correct. God created everything God created. Likewise, She did not create anything She did not create." "Doesn't that mean God didn't create everything?" "No. She created everything, but others created other everythings." Marinette blinked. "So… um… anyway…" "Likewise, God can do everything, except for the things She can't," said Kagami. "Can you stop with the theobabble and just tell us what the third thing is already?" said Plagg, almost petulant in his annoyance.

femslash february #9: kagalya (obligation/apple)
established relationship, adults. kagami has a stressful job at a government office, which also requires her to travel away from home a lot. she makes sure to contact alya and their adopted eight-year-old as often as possible, but alya can tell that kagami's often stressed or dissatisfied.
so alya and the child come up with the idea to plant seven apple trees in their garden. they aren't gardeners and the idea is an impulse, so they don't really know that the tree won't give them apples for years; the idea was to go apple picking together, then press the apples and make jam, for kagami's birthday next year.
kagami, who loves apples and works at the department if agriculture, immediately realises the problem when she gets home the next time. but she's not upset. alya explains that the trees are apples for the future, and when the time comes they will pick them together. it's a promise, she says. we can relax with apples, one day.
kagami reassures her wife and daughter. it's fine, she says, and one day they will have apples. but there's a twinkle in her eyes that alya isn't able to read.
the next time kagami comes home from a work trip, she brings back a whole crate of apples. and she's written a note she's put into the crate. the only words on it are: "we can always have apples. love, kagami."
[master post]
Hi, I just wanted to say, I found it hilarious that you had to completely delete a fic and entirely re-imagine it because you gave canon too much credit. Like, we all know (at least among your followers) just how much of a flaming pile of hot trash canon is post-S1, but still. Sheesh.
As for the rewrite, personally I am all for NiNette, though I think I would have a hard time with Kagalya, seeing as I adore Kagami but really cannot stand Alya (or Adr!en for that matter) anymore. I just feel like canon has gone too far with her, y’know?
As for the miraculous, I’d rather see LB!Nino and Cat!Alya if given the choice.
That being said, you do you! Do as you see most fit, mate! I am sure it will be interesting either way
Yeah my whole thing is to work along with what's most accurate to try and do a good take for these what if scenarios, though some stuff I can count as OC if it doesn't come often enough or feels out of place (like Alya in Gamer being against Marinette joining to get closer with Adrien); and then s4 rolled in and gave a little more on Nino and a lot more on Alya and it just hits you that you were giving these characters a lot more credit than expected so you got some reworking to do.
With Alya, I get it. I do like her more than Adrien, but its not by much. She's become more problematic and is having her ups and downs. I do think she's a character with potential, they just need to allow growth (same with Adrien). I also get it that when you don't like a character, you're not so interested in seeing romantic match ups.
Only thing I ask is that you give it a shot if you can, especially since any romance with Alya would be later and she'd be growing or grown a little. If going rare pairs, Ninette would get the focus first as I don't really see Alya as someone who wanted to be in a relationship right away and Kagami would come in later anyway. Later into S2 is where I would've expected her to be more open to the idea of dating, but canon didn't do that. So I'll do it here! Kagalya would come later and get their own focus.
Kagalya sounds like it could be really good, especially since DaB!Alya’s behavior timeline wouldn’t be as far into problematic territory as canon when Kagami comes into the scene after. I’ve always wanted to see these two directly interact ever since reading your analysis posts about possible rivalry routes concerning them, and I don’t like how they immediately glossed over Alya regarding Kagami as an ice queen and then just immediately jumped to them being friends in the Girl Squad™ at some point; we never even got to see what Kagami’s opinion of Alya was in return.
Plus, I do think that, without the distraction of a RAGING superhero crush, Adrien has a golden opportunity to actually grow in terms of his personality, behavior, and involvement in his own life. His canon crush on Ladybug didn’t encase ALL of his issues, but it absolutely exacerbated them, and in the same vein getting rid of it doesn’t get rid of all his issues (some of which you’ve even described in how they manifest in this AU concerning his partnership with Bella Stella), but it does give a much better chance of fixing them before they get too far gone, especially since Dodged a Beetle takes place right at the beginning and Adrien showed quite a few snippets of breaking out in Season 1 before it all went downhill. And the kicker: without romance serving as a major focus/distraction for Adrien, he can finally get on with ACTUALLY NOTICING THE EVIL MAGIC SHENANIGANS GOING ON LITERALLY UNDER HIS OWN DAMN ROOF.
Oh man, even in set ups of Alya arriving in Origins, I'd rather Kagalya still. Even before it hit me that Alya wears the colors of the lesbian pride flag, I've found I've always been more interested in ships of her with girls.
Like, before s2 aired, the only ship with Alya that intrigued me was Chloya, cause we were all expecting them to be full time heroes and I was super intrigued on how interactions with them would go and expecting a Chloe redemption...
But no, Chloe was a pointless hot mess and got DJWifi which never interested me and the more I saw of them in canon the less I liked them as a couple.
But here's Kagami who Riptose initially set up to be awed by LB and me and many others thought she'd have a big crush on her and we were all ready for sword lesbian Kagami (but we can do sword bi or pan Kagami). Personally, I found that her liking Adrien came out of left field as I saw him being more interested in her than her in him. I think they did that to see all of those that wanted Lila to crush on LB, just to tease/humor us then went straight for what they truly wanted.
Anyway.
Around the time I started FFtB, I didn't want to do DJWifi or Alyanette or Alyadrien; but Kagami came to mind as that would've been perfect. Alya back in s1 I didn't really see wanting to be in a relationship immediately, and was more excited about the heroes. And her being a hero would be more focused on that than having a romantic partner.
But Kagami coming in later is perfect as that gives her time to cool it and be more naturally open to having a romantic partner. And talking it out with @loosescrewslefty gave me some fun ideas of what sort of couple these two could be. Both being very competitive and like to rush in, they're that FIGHT ME couple that could be fun and they take turns on who's the smart one and who does something dumb. They also feel a more even footed match as both will call the other out on stuff and it doesn't feel like one has the "in charge" role over the other and just largely takes the lead (something I see with DJWifi and Adrigami).
And yes, removing the romance focus for Adrien, this opens him up to focus on other things. To me in regards to canon, it'd be more impactful for the boy obsessed with romantic romance not end up with anyone and find happiness in other forms of love.
