Crystal in a Kaftan ππ²π¦
A Kaftan is a traditional robe worn all over the world and originates from the ancient Mesopotamia culture. Itβs loose, flowy and very light. It can be worn for everyday use or special occasions and can be made of different material such as cotton or silk.
Is this family playing dress up with me or am I embracing the Moroccan culture? I think both! πΊBut this is actually way out of my comfort zone. One, itβs not my typical style, and two, I am very conscious against appropriating others cultures. But when 5+ women of the family plus friends they have over push you to wear it, I think theyβre okay with me trying on this gorgeous outfit. Also, the red waist textile is specific to the North of Morocco.
