This actually made me a bit sad. I miss the store, I miss Fat Sakamoto... It just feels like we've lost part of what the series originally was.

This flashback is a crazy thing to just put in there. The OG wielder of Cloud Gouger. The Sword Master. The four bearers from the start of Assassination Arc.

Ping-Pong Peril wins "cool dude"

This evidently isn't going to be some deep interrogation of ping pong as a sport, but the variable nature of the usable tables is a good way to keep things fresh.

Ichi the Witch wins "chills"

That was quite the scene. We forget sometimes, but yeah. Ichi has quite a few creatures under his control, not willingly for a lot of them.

Kaedegami wins "gotcha!"

This is a classic way to defeat a villain, to be honest. Real fairy-tale shit. I approve!

Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi wins "the yaoi devil"

It feels like it's been ages since we had a good yaoi villain in Jump. Asuta Roth is definitely making up for lost time.

Blue Box wins "amicable exes"

Yeah, I figured he had to be the one to initiate the breakup. That felt like the appropriate soap-opera move.

Shinobi Undercover wins "laugh out loud"

I always keep track of the first joke to get me to audibly laugh in Jump. For a while now, it's been Shinobi. This author has such a good sense of when to kill the tension.
