Hanging plots:

Whitethorn has had six students and two matrons bust out, which is just embarrassing. The students would be Cora, Sumi, Reagan, Emily, Stephanie, and Marian while the matrons are Miss Lennox and Carrie. Miss Lennox and Carrie have resolved that they will go back for their friends, after they spread the truth about Whitethorn to the world. The false headmaster may swallow the loss, but the real headmaster might not.

The Whitethorn headmaster, the real one, wants to hoard all of Earth's magic. He doesn't care at all about the students.

What Eleanor is going to do with the game-changing knowledge that going through a Door sacrifices two days of the traveler's life.

Parallel to that, how some travelers are Finders and can track down any number of Doors while opening them.

Animals can find and discover Doors, even when humans can't.

Not all Doors will bar you when you're 18. As Miss Lennox pointed out, age is relative. So 18 isn't the necessary cutoff.

Deities and beings from other worlds can haunt your dreams if they possess you. Meaning some things can pass between Doors without needing to physically travel.

The Master knows the Wayward Children helped assassinate Jill and restore the power balance to the Moors. He seems to be the type to hold a grudge.

Vineta is still out there, fleeing through a random door and hoping she survives.

Students and their Doors:

Chris will return to Mariposa when he accepts that to do so, he will have to die and leave his parents bereft again. He's joked that if that doesn't happen, he'll probably become a serial killer.

Sumi will one day return to Confection when she's ready to fight for her home, settle down with Ponder, and raise a child. It has to happen so Rini can exist.

The Goblins have forgiven Kade for killing their king and says if he returns, they'll make a home for him. But the fairies may not be happy if Kade ever makes that choice.

While it isn't likely that Antsy will open a Door to and from Eleanor West's school, it's noted that the Shop of Lost Things is a place where she can help someone find their Door if they wish.

Children or family members of Wayward Children:

Jack and Jill's little brother, who may or may not find a door when raised with the same stifling environment.

Diana Lundy's son; it's mentioned during the In An Absent Dream epilogue that Diana was the one who contacted Eleanor and asked her to help Katherine. Though her sister never told her where she went, Diana figured out it had to be another place by Logic and her son went missing in a similar fashion. Since the door to the Goblin Market is generational, her son might have chosen to stay there.

Antsy's mother is mourning a daughter that she suspects her husband killed. She didn't recognize a rapidly-aged Antsy. And her half-sister has grown up with the shadow of her father being accused of and imprisoned for murder. Perfect ingredients to open a Door for a child.
