“Can’t a man go shopping in Ikeburkuro? Maybe stop for some sushi along the way?” If only those were his plans. But Kadota wasn’t a wise one to leak information to. He was still a ‘higher up’ in the Dollars and likes poking his nose into trouble at times.

A broken wall in his bathroom wasn’t exactly something that Izaya could just leave, even if it had been caused by the monster living with him. He had to get it repaired soon enough and once he was able to walk correctly and shove off Shizuo’s attempts at otherwise, that was what he set out to do. It wasn’t too hard when he knew exactly who he needed to find and running into the other man easy enough when he was actively looking for him.

“Dotachin! It’s been awhile. I’d almost think you were avoiding me~”

He’s smiling and shrugging his hands into the pockets of his jacket as he finds his way over with ease, head tilting in the mannerism. The intent look of his eyes gives away that he wants something as he does nothing to hide that fact, his smile only adding to the fact. It’s already been something he told Shizuo --- that he was going to get someone to fix the bathroom, but he’d never explicitly told him who he was going to be getting to fix the bathroom.

“But! I have a job for you. Shizu-chan broke the wall in my bathroom and I’d love to pay you to fix it for me, what do you say?”

[kad0ta] No one else from Raira Academy might bother, but Izaya will find a small happy birthday card and a bag of konpeito in his mailbox. There is a somewhat telling wish in it that he’ll find the year ahead to be peaceful.

This is an amusing little surprise. He kept his birthday under wraps to avoid his shoe locker from getting packed full of useless junk from girls.

The bag of konpeito is picked up and looked over. Just who would pick a cutesy candy like this for him? The writing on the card looked familiar though.

Kadota was a ways down the hall, just out of the corner of Izaya's eye. Quietly he tucked everything into his pocket and walked past. "Thanks for the sugar, Dota-chin."
