2. Spending Christmas at a Childhood Home This exists in my personal headcanon where Genny moves into their old house and turns it into something cozy and special, instead of selling it and moving to LA anyway.

"I've gotta say, I like what you've done with the place." Tim looks around his sister's licing room, fresh paint and colorful holiday decorations replacing the childhood memories he'd feared would besmirch the house forever.

"Thanks," Genny hangs another ornament on her brand-new tree and smiles at him. "It's been a long road, but it feels good, y'know? To give it some happy moments."

He looks past his sister to Lucy, sitting on the floor and listening to his nephews tell her about the finer logistical points of Minecraft.

"If you're going to cry, I'm going to punch someone."

"No, no, it's not ... I'm fine." Lucy wipes her eyes, and sure enough, her fingers come away wet. "It's just been a long week; you don't need to ... I could just use a hug."

"A hug?" Tim steps closer and opens his arms. "I can do that."

4. "Can't we just stay in and cuddle?"

"I wish." Eddie tightens his arm around Buck's shoulder. In turn, Buck holds tighter to Eddie's waist and adjusts the comforter across their laps. "But they'll have questions if we both call in sick."

"But it's raining," Buck whines. "I want to enjoy it, not work car accidents all day because people don't know how to drive in it."

"I know. Me too. But if it's as bad as we both think it will be, then we've got a city to save." Buck growns in acknowledgement of Eddie's point, and Eddie presses a kiss to him temple. "Tell you what: if it's still raining tonight, we'll pick up soup and sandwiches on the way home and turn the sofa to face the window. How's that sound?"

"Almost as good as calling in and doing that now."

49. "They're such an idiot. My idiot, but still."

"Please, Eddie." Hen rolls her eyes. "You love it."

"Yeah," he sighs. "I do."

"And you love him?" It could be a statement, but Bobby asks it like a question.

Eddie gulps, trying to hide the spike of concern he feels at the protective edge in Bobby's voice.

Besides, it's an easy question to answer, if he's honest with himself.

"Yeah ... I do."

"And yet, you still listen to me." Buck looks over his shoulder. "Now c'mon, are you coming or not?"

"Fine," Eddie sighs, patting his pockets to check for wallet and keys. "At least this way you'll be have supervision."

17. "I don't know how to love you."

"Yeah, but you do anyway." Poppy smirks.

"Yeah, I do." Ian's tone softens. He stops shouting and his arms drop back to his sides.

"And it turns out you're not half bad at it." She gestures to the slice of buffalo chicken pizza on the table between them. "So how about instead of fighting about whatever Brad thinks is going on here, we just keep doing what works? Brad's an asshole anyway."

"He's such an asshole." Ian grins and Poppy knows the fight is over. They do this. They fight. They make up. They move on.

They love each other.

Even if it's weird, and dysfunctional, and half the time she doesn't know what it means, they love each other.

And it works.

"Love you too, Ian."
