One thing I love about TADC is the portrayal of Jax. He has a lot of deep-seated issues (and potentially trauma) but the show doesn’t use that to excuse the fact he’s an abusive asshole or to force the characters he’s hurt into liking him because he’s ‘such a misunderstood little cinnamon roll’. Because that’s not what he is. He’s not a misunderstood little cinnamon roll. He’s an abusive asshole with deep-seated issues.
After the mess that was Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, seeing that kind of character portrayal is refreshing.
