Fake dating

So they need to pretend to date because they run into a digimon in the digital world that is obsessed with love and they need a pretend to be a couple in order to let free (because the digimon captured them???) but they’re both absolutely terribly at it because Jyou is like constantly ‘sdjkghausdhgui’ and blushy, and Yamato’s super stiff and awkward and it’s freakin’ adorable ;w;

Bodyswap

 Okay so Yamato and Sora have been dating for about three months, it’s still a bit awkward for them and they’re not really sure if the transition from friend to romantic interest is really working so well. They had an interest in each other in the digital world and have been trying to get together since but neither have had the guts and by the time they do get together they’re not sure if it’s more because of an over-glorified childhood crush or because they really love each other. It becomes harder to discern because they do genuinely love each other as friends. At this point they’re both trying to make it work because they both have a sort of stubborn streak.

Yamato also really wants to make it work because he wants to prove to himself that romance can work because his parents break-up makes him doubt sometimes.

During this internal turmoil Sora and Jyou wake up with their bodies swapped. Amidst the panic and freak out and ‘how did this happen?! Aaaaaah!’ Sora decides they have to hide it from Yamato because she feels like it might be the straw that breaks the camels back (remember, this is panic logic thinking)

Jyou is absolutely against this but she talks him into just going on tomorrows date

The fic mainly consists of Jyou falling head-over-heels for Yamato because he’s an awesome boyfriend and hating himself for it. Yamato DEFINITELY noticing something is off about the situation but doesn’t want to investigate because he’s starting to really like Sora again and he doesn’t want to blow it. And Sora really enjoying being single and having the freedom to do what she wants and not having the social pressures to be girly.

When she notices there might be a thing with Yamato and not!her she does feel jealous and miffed and conflicted and upset because she does still like Yamato and even a bit romantically and it’s really hard to let go but she also feels relieved, like ‘good, now I don’t have to’

She never treats anyone badly even when she’s feeling terrible though (but she might take a little of it out on Taichi because he is someone she’s comfortable getting mad at)

There is no Sora pairing but if there is it would be hints of either Somi or Sokeru, but mainly I want her to end this with a refreshing emotional freedom and the will to approach things she’s really interested in beyond what she feels like she ‘should’ like

Yamato is not happy when he finds out about the switch

It’s really dramatic

There will be a lot of tears and angsty things that happen

Especially with Jyou’s intense guilt and want and sadness and missing his life but not wanting to leave Sora’s yet because he’s sure that once the swap is over, it’ll be over ;A;

…I am actually ashamed of how easily I was able to come up with one for these two >////////<;;

As vengeance for breaking a lot of plates, Digitamamon poisons Jyou’s meal next time he’s at the restaurant because he holds a grudge and it makes Jyou super sickly in need of sex (the sad part is I’ve legitimately seen twists like this in manga o.O; ) when Yamato goes to check on Jyou all worried and stuff, Jyou pushes him down in a dazed need-thing

Yamato, having secretly liked Jyou for some time now, doesn’t really fight so much as weakly try and figure out what’s wrong with Jyou

Jyou is kidnapped by a crazy dude who blames Jyou’s dad for someone dying at the hospital

They pay the ransom but in response they get a finger sent to them (the middle finger)

The kidnappers have promised that Jyou will die within 13 hours, a new body part arriving every 2 hours.

Thirteen is for how long it took the patient to die and the two hour intervals are for the seizures the patient endured

Yamato is completely unrelated until he notices some blood coming out of a neighbor’s mail slot.

Yamato’s neighbor is the kidnapper and he has to find a way to rescue Jyou without them both getting killed

(I have no idea where this plot came from, it just happened o///o;; )

Jyou had been tentatively dating Yamato for a month before he ran into Ishida-san at his work. He was working part-time at a local café to help pay for his college tuition. He hadn’t really realized that since the shop was fairly close to Fuji TV, Yamato’s dad might come in for lunch.

It suddenly occurred to Jyou that he had never been formally introduced

He realized he had no idea whether Yamato had told the man about their relationship

Yamato was not responding to his panicked texts

Oh god he had to be Ishida-san’s waiter

Amidst asking the man for his order Jyou fainted from lack of oxygen to the brain

Ishida Hiroaki watched the poor boy faint with surprise and also pondering if they’d met before, the kid looked a bit familiar.

When Ishida Yamato first met his new roommate he thought the guy was anal, annoying, and bossy. How it had come to a point where Yamato stutters nervously around the guy and has to resist flushing an interesting shade of red? Yamato couldn’t tell you if he tried.

Yamato is known for never turning down anyone that asks him out, but after a week he always breaks up with them. Even though he’s a great boyfriend during that time it always ends the same.

Jyou isn’t actually sure how he ended up asking out Yamato and the only thing that comforts him is that after seven days it’ll all be over.

Problem is that after seven days neither one of them wants it to end.

Adorable misunderstandings ensue.

Yamato is a rock-star, Jyou’s your average college student, they really shouldn’t have run into each other except Jyou happened to go to that concert and get lost

He hadn’t really wanted or intended to go to the concert, it was more because he’d gotten pressured into it

He wouldn’t have gotten lost either if his friend hadn’t vanished into the crowd

He wouldn’t have ended up backstage if not for his terrible sense of direction

And he would have most likely recognized the star of the show if he hadn’t lost his glasses

Yamato couldn’t leave the poor guy alone wandering around with limited vision so he helped the guy out

It might have been love at first conversation for poor Yamato

Too bad Jyou’s just a bit too oblivious/caught-up-in-his-studies to notice.

Zombies are a thing that happen

Jyou and Yamato don’t really know each other but they end up on the same thrown together zombie surviving team (the chosen children)

Yamato is crazy protective of Takeru

Koushirou and Sora end up getting zombied, it’s super said and sucks and I don’t want to think about it >[

Things take a turn for the worse after that, the group ends up getting separated with Takeru on his own, Jyou and Yamato stuck together, and Taichi with Mimi. No one knows where Hikari is.

Yamato spends the balk of his time freaking out of Takeru

Takeru, btw, is doing surprisingly well surviving on his own

Anywho Jyou ends up having to be the sane one in the partnership but he’s kinda bad at that so they almost die like all the time

Taichi ends up dying protecting Mimi, she’s srsly traumatized and probably would have died if Takeru hadn’t showed up like a boss

From there, there are a lot of really sad/tragic zombie shenanigans and the general goal is for the brothers to meet again (still alive)

Hikari has a super important part to play that no one knows because I’m a jerk >]
