I suppose it’s because I, myself, am so terribly low, that I would only feel as if I was being given sympathy if they did so. But I understand that that’s probably not true: it’s likely because Hatsuyuki and I are on well terms with each other, and his sister respects that. Just as I’d expect from someone such as Oboro’s son and daughter. I’ve watched her here and there, and in general, she seems to be a very hardworking and kind woman. I wouldn’t know too much, though.
I’ve thought about the topic of siblings before, especially concerning Seiji and Chiyo. But… I’ve watched these two as well, less than I have with Seiji and Chiyo. And this is mainly due to the fact that I don’t often… see them together. I wonder, is their relationship broken? Does Haruna resent Hatsuyuki, in some form? Hatsuyuki has told me he felt failing as an older brother. It makes me wonder.
I’ve found it difficult to talk to Haruna herself. We may be around the same age, but it’s understandably a little awkward to be left alone with “my older brother’s friend.” I find myself at a loss of words around her, and feel afraid to mess up, because I understand how siblings like them work. It’s just like Seiji and Chiyo. If I manage to hurt one of them…
Haruna, otherwise, is a lady I hold no comment on. All I know about her is from Hatsuyuki, who sometimes breaks and admits to feeling incompetence with taking care of her. Does she know he feels this way? Does she think about him as much as he thinks about her? Why can’t Hatsuyuki just tell her the way he tells me? I wonder. I wonder.
But I have no right. I do not have a sibling. I would’ve severed their head off upon birth.
