10/09/1980

Mum dragged us over to the Lovegoods today which is rather impressive given there’s six of us, plus she had to carry Ron as he’s barely able to string a few syllables together yet. Charlie was pissed off at getting up early, unsurprising as any time I try to wake him up, he just rolls over and goes back to sleep.

The Lovegoods have had a baby. Maybe it’s a side effect of having five little brothers but the prospect of a baby isn’t really all that exciting anymore. At least I probably won’t have to look after this one anyway, which is a relief in itself. Five is more than enough, especially when you’re counting the terror twins as well.

Okay, so I guess the baby was kind of cute. Cuter than Ron anyway but maybe that’s because it’s a girl. They’ve called her Luna or something. I think that means moon? Either way old Xeno was babbling away about something or another and I just did my best to make sure the twins didn’t touch anything in their house. Would probably explode.

Anyway, dad’s calling me, probably to help with setting the table or something for dinner, so I’ll have to end this here.

Bill can boast of being the so called ‘favourite sibling’ of at least two of his siblings. With Charlie it’s because the two of them are so close in age, they grew up together and did almost everything together. They always shared a room and as such, the other is always the first to go to when something needs discussed or told. With Ginny, he supposes, it’s almost the opposite. He was already almost eleven by the time she was born and he spent a lot of time looking after her as help to their mother. He’s always been protective of her and he even has nicknamed her his ‘tigress’ in response to her hair and personality.

That’s not to say that he doesn’t get on well with his siblings. He can appreciate Fred and George’s mischief and on occasion give them suggestions although he’s fully aware how annoying they can sometimes get. He taught Ron to play chess when they were younger too, and when it comes to Percy, in a way, they can connect on an intellectual level, both having received the same number of O.W.L.s and held identical positions in Hogwarts.

How Sebastian got this far away from home he was unsure, but when the king yelled for them to swim that was what he did. He didn’t think, he didn’t check to see where people were going, he just fled. It didn’t take long for him to get all turned around and confused, so instead of panicking he just kept on swimming. Underneath the waters were some of the most unattractive mermaids he’s ever had the displeasure of meeting so went up to the surface trying to find someone on the docks.

“You there!” he called out when he saw someone, “how do you put up with those ugly things down there?”
