Thinking back about episode 1 and episode 2 and the fact months have moved past since theyāve arrived is crazy.
Some disjointed thoughts about some implications:
- in the first episode, we see Jace and Renn essentially throw one off insults to one another (āIām here to get the rook I deserveā āwhatās the matter, your family didnāt give you one?ā), and after the small reveal of Rennās homeworld situations and his own situation, I feel like that line from Jace hits even harder knowing thereās a chance the reason even though heās a lord in his family, there might be some devastation going on due to the frozen wasteland area
- the fact the difference between episode 1 and episode 2 Mylo is pretty drastic seems to show that Mylo really is going through it, even if he had seen tragedies due to living near to the war area, actually partaking and doing it yourself is so different. The guy really is going through it
- we also got more tidbits about what Varus actually is striving for even more. Honestly I wanna know more about him š
- Jace our indomitable (stardust) human spirit. This guy truly would rise back even if heās knocked down. Also very interesting that they said Jaceās anime archetype is more akin to protagonists such as Naruto or Luffy. Hmmā¦he might be in for some horrors of the reality regarding war.
- also back to Renn, THE FACT HE HAS CYBERNETIC ENHANCEMENTS??? HELLO??? I mean makes sense considering his subclass (Ghostframe) but like whoa. I do wonder where the cybernetic enhancements are, other than his eyes.
- Also 212 squadronā¦they seems to be that typical āopposing sides of the protagonists groupā, but I do wonder if thereās any other motive for them.
- all in all, I do think the next session they will be in for someā¦horrors of wars and changes. Cheers to them for passing
Remembering the jungle simulation and how Mylo was trying to justify his own killing of the raptor monsters thingy, and then the way Derek describes how as they get out of the simulation, they can hear the screams of the other cadets who did not survive.
You know this shit boutta be horrifying for them as the campaign goes on
