Jeff the killer - Manipulation of fire. It’s ironic. In his original story he was set ablaze so obviously he’d be scared of fire, he would deny it though. So him having control over what hurt him in the past is somewhat poetic in a way I suppose. It also fits his personality a lot, he’s hotheaded.

Ben Drowned - Ignoring the blatant technological powers he’d have I believe Ben would control water. Much like Jeff does Ben controls what hurt him. However, Ben is much more open about hating water and he would rarely use this ability.

Eyeless Jack - Invisibility. This would be a useful power for him. Having the need to steal organs he needs to be careful about being seen so being able to turn invisible helps greatly. He would probably use it a lot to screw around with everyone (*cough* scare Jeff *cough*)

Laughing Jack - Mimicking voices/sounds. He’d use this to lure people then kill them. And him being a clown he would mess with everyone constantly. Which results in many fights.

Sally - Telekinesis, she wouldn’t use it to try to hurt anyone unless necessary. She would much rather make her tea part guests float and make her clothes dance.

Toby - Photographic memory oddly enough. He may not remember much of his past but he remembers everything after that, in very vivid detail. He doesn’t do anything too work related with it. He read Sally’s favorite book and now recites it to her when she goes to bed. It’s very cute. (They have a sibling relationship you can’t change my mind)

Clockwork - Predictably she would control time. But she can only do it for short bursts. It takes a considerable amount of energy to do it. She is neutral about her power and since it’s draining she uses it rarely.

Jane - Shapeshifting. (In my little story for her Jeff only burned part of her body so she has burn scars). She has burn scars on her face and half her body so she will constantly use her powers.

(Little heads up this is just a little vent story. Also it’s kind of bittersweet so buckle up buttercups! Also this is dedicated to @creepyfettuccini for the reason that I just love your blog)

Autumn had always been Liu’s favorite season. The usual green leaves turned into shimmering reds and golds; while the weather was cold but not unbearable. He breathed out and smiled as he saw his breath fog in the air. Autumn wasn’t just his favorite season.

It was also his brother’s favorite season.

Liu thought back to those days he spent with his beloved brother, Jeff. They would get home from school and jump in the leaves, chase each other playing tag, then go back inside to eat sweets. Those were the memories he cherished. However, Liu had not seen his brother in five years. Liu was sixteen now and his brother... Liu chewed on his lips nervously.

Today was Jeff’s eighteenth birthday. Liu had still kept track of their birthdays no matter what. He had over the last five years written his brother a letter every year for Jeff’s birthday. The letters were all at least a dozen pages. Liu would detail how his life was fairing. How he had changed as a person. Bettered himself. He wrote to Jeff about all his struggles, his love, how he missed his brother, how he was scared of meeting again. Now though, Liu had finally worked up the courage to find his brother and reconnect with him. Liu held the envelopes that contained his letters tightly in his hands.

The fallen leaves crunched under Liu’s boots as he walked through the woods with purpose. He had to keep reminding himself this would be the day. He could do it. He just needed to give his brother the letters.

They would be a family again.

Then he saw it in the distance. The famed mansion of Slenderman. Liu knew Jeff lived here but he wasn’t sure what it was like. Liu was going to step out of the trees but instinctively hid as he heard the front door opening. He had hidden behind a tree and watched while someone stepped outside on the porch. Liu nearly gasped.

His brother. Jeff.

Jeff’s hair was longer than it was last Liu saw him, and he was much taller Liu could tell. Jeff still had that white hoodie and black pants, they might have been different from the ones back then but still. Jeff sat on the bottom step of the porch staircase. Jeff let out a sigh and ran a hair through his hair. Liu was just unable to move. His brother was there.

He was right there!

Just move!

Give him the letters!

Liu moved his foot slightly then froze again as the front door was slammed open. He watched as yet another person stepped out onto the front porch. A blonde boy with elfin ears.

“Jeff, my dude, my bro, it’s your birthday! Why don’t you celebrate?” The elfin boy chirped.

Jeff shrugged. “I’m just not feeling it. Go celebrate for me, Ben.”

Liu held the letters more tightly in his hands. This elfin boy, Ben, was Jeff’s friend. Liu almost couldn’t believe it. Jeff had never made any other friends when they were younger. Jeff always hung out with Liu. They were the inseparable Woods brothers. They didn’t need anyone else! And yet still Liu’s legs would not move.

More people came out onto the porch. They wanted to celebrate with Jeff. They told Jeff it was his day. Jeff should be happy. A little girl in a pink dress gave Jeff a blue teddy bear.

“It’s okay if you don’t want a party but I can still give you a present!” The little girl exclaimed.

Jeff smiled and hugged the little girl, the teddy bear too. Everyone began to hug Jeff and they began talking, making jokes, laughing, and smiling together.

They were a family. They were happy.

Jeff was happy.

So why...?

Why was Liu crying?

He held a hand to his mouth. Liu turned and ran, from his brother. When Liu was far enough away he dropped to his knees and let it out. His sobs and screams. He had been selfish. When they were younger. He kept Jeff to himself. Never once wanting Jeff to have anyone else. Liu’s tears fell onto the envelopes. He tore them all. To shreds. Nothing left. He choked out sobs as he did. That look he had seen on his brother’s face while he talked with those people... Liu had never seen seen a sincere look of happiness on anyone’s face. Liu wiped his eyes and hiccuped. He stood up on shaky legs and exhaled. He looked down at the shredded letters by his feet. The wind was already blowing most of it away. Liu sniffled and sighed.

His brother no longer needed him. Even though it caused him so much sadness and caused him to cry once again... Liu took a step forward, even farther from his brother. Then another and another. Maybe one day... One day Liu and Jeff would reconnect as brothers. But today...

The Woods family had come to the hospital, the two year old Jeff was beyond excited to meet his new brother, his mother was excited but was in more pain than anything. His father elected to stay in the waiting room with his son, not wanting to particularly see this his wife didn’t mind. She felt a sense of relief when her husband and son left to the waiting room. That relief was shoved away by painful contractions.

It took some hours for Mrs. Woods to finally have her second son. She should have been relieved. But the delivery room was deathly quiet. Her son was not crying as newborns often do. She began to panic as the doctors worked. She screamed and begged but they took him away to a different room. Then they took her back to her own hospital room, where her husband and son Jeff had moved to while waiting for her. They both knew something was wrong when the nurses brought her in. Their doctor came by not ten minutes later to explain what was happening. Their newborn son was alive but he was weak, it seemed parts of his organ systems were undeveloped despite him arriving after the due date. The doctor warned them he would must likely not live through the night.

Jeff didn’t understand much of what was going on as he walked down the hallway, holding his father’s hand. His mother was in a wheelchair and being pushed by a nurse. His mother was crying and his father had a distant look in his eyes. Jeff was bewildered, shouldn’t they be happy? They were going to see his new brother! Jeff smiled at the thought. He did not yet grasp the concept of death and fear. The nurse pushed his mother to where Jeff’s little brother was. He had a tube in his mouth and various things connected to him. His heart monitor beeped evenly, only because from the machines that helped him breathe. Jeff couldn’t see him very well so he stood on his tip toes. He smiled wide and gazed at his brother with awe. He was so small! His parents were talking to the nurse quietly. Jeff overheard the nurse ask if they had a name for him. His parents didn’t. Jeff looked more intensely at his brother and then happily exclaimed,

“Liu!”

His mother let out a choked sob and his father teared up. His parents both agreed that was their son’s name. Liu. Liu Woods. They spent more than three hours with Liu, Jeff told him a story with his limited vocabulary. His mother sang to him and his father told him how much they all loved him. When they decided to leave the nurse went to push the wheelchair.

Mr. Woods stopped the nurse, he insisted he would take his wife back to her room. With that the three family members left, Jeff stopped at the doorway and said goodnight to his brother. The nurse giggled. They were a nice family. She turned and looked down at the newborn, Liu Woods. She could feel him slipping away slowly because she was not just a nurse. She was something more, something more infinite. She only enjoyed taking the form of humans and living amongst them. As she gazed down at the infant she couldn’t help but feel heartbroken. He hadn’t had a chance to live yet. He wouldn’t know love or pain or hope or anything. She didn’t want that. She could feel how special this boy was. And she refused the idea of him dying.

She opened up the incubator and lent down. She kissed his small forehead lightly and she grinned as it took effect. His pale skin slowly turned a healthy tan color and he began to gag on the tube in his throat. She removed the tube as it was no longer needed. His heartbeat was strong and even all on its own. After that he opened his small eyes, despite being so young, his dark brown eyes stared up at the nurse. Slowly his irises changed from that dark brown to a deep and vibrant green. She laughed and grabbed his small hands.
