The first of many Post Office Bounty posts I need to make in the next few days! 

So, much of this post is from @shirokou -- the puppy and keychain in the upper left, the card and letter-with-fanfic on the left, and the shirt under the cards. You can see that in the big photo the shirt says Iron Man, but if you turn it upside down (see the second photo) it says Captain America. I LOVE THIS. 

The snowman card, which is photographed twice because of the glare in the big image, is from @geekgirl76. It arrived flat and had a little bit of tape that let you floof it up, which I LOVE. 

@nissus sent me the card with the tree and “Warmest Wishes” on it -- I love cards and you should send me one any time you feel like it! I’m just crap at replying to them :D 

The super-awkward creepy santa card is from @lillian13; love the horror of that card, and thank you for your well-wishes on the condo. I NEED THEM RIGHT NOW.

Caitlin, it’s lovely to see you and Adler again this year, but I figured you might not want your face all over the internet, so I hid it with another card. Thank you though! (Also I’m sorry I appear to have blanked on your tumblr handle, but I remember your card from last year because I thought a christmas card with a cat was so brilliant :D)

So, this is the second of the shawls I’ve finished in the past few days. This one is crochet, as you’ve probably noticed. I got the yarn as a gift from @justice-turtle and I love it. It reminds me of the sunlight and bright blue sky of full summer. 

It’s unexpectedly huge. I’d been trying to make something sort of long-and-narrow, like a scarf. It blocked out much wider in the center than I planned. I like it, especially since it’s very light and will squish down around my neck well in winter. It reaches from the foot of a queen size bed to the head, and is more than 20″ at the widest point.

Oh man I don’t remember that news story but it’s totally possible. Though I feel like I would remember an AVOCADO CRIME WAVE.

Sounds like the perfect time for a taste test, although buying a single potato of each available variety is kind of hard in a standard supermarket.

Well, there are probably 4-5 different kinds so I suppose I could, but I honestly have just realized today that I probably don’t like the taste of potato.

Hold up, white potato varieties are supposed to taste different?!

maybe you would like sour beers? they are becoming popular, you can find them with a lot of different fruit flavors (like plum or pomegranate)

I don’t think the fermentation technique is really the issue, though -- I think it’s the alcohol and hops. Do they not add hops to sour beer? I couldn’t quite tell, it was all very technical and focused on the yeast involved.

On one hand, I feel like it would be hard to buy smuggled avocados without noticing. On the other hand, that's exactly the sort of thing that would happen to you. :D

Didn't you used to call these something like "Doona Days", or am I misremembering?

I’m sure I have referred to them as that in the past! It’s what Australians call them, or at least, what my Australians call them. :D

*hugs* I'm sorry. Something you might want to measure but gets forgotten is floor to window sill btw! Good to know what can fit under windows.

OH SHIT good idea *adds to spreadsheet* Though frankly *looks around* I don’t really have that much furniture that would have to fit under windows, just the two tables really. 

Working out how I’m gonna put the furniture into this place is proving somewhat difficult. I’ve got a rendering done in a free online floorplan maker, but no matter what I do with the living room, it’s Awkward. I’m sure I’ll have it more figured out once I get in the space, and at least my living room won’t be essentially a hallway anymore. :D
