Basically I'm saying Loki was tortured and coerced into attacking Earth and it wasn't out of his own free will. As you mentioned this is after him talking with The Other. The Other threatens Loki with the promise of "more pain" if he doesn't deliver them the Tesseract and Loki is clearly afraid. The start of their communication was also out of Loki's control and The Other could see through Loki's mind without Loki's control. Then The Other pushes him out of the mind connection by deliberately inflicting pain on Loki and in that gifset you can clearly see that Loki is shaken and afraid. All of this shows that Loki wasn't doing all of that out of his own free will and wasn't Thanos' ally but a pawn and in fact one of his victims.
