I moved here to the Bay Area just a little over 10 years ago. I was linguistically challenged and culturally shocked, and I went through many phases and nuances.. until I figured myself out, until I found my niche. I went through different groups of friends.. until I found the right amount of consistency in the people I wanted to invest in. I started working when I was 16, became full time when I was 19 because I needed more income to continue my education, so I juggled that with college which suffocated my learning experience at school. I've been discouraged and complacent more than 100 times in my life. I've been told "it's not even worth it" more than 100 times. I've seen multiple opportunities to drop what I'm doing and pursue another path. I've struggled. We've all struggled. . . Fast forward to about 2 weeks from now.. I'll be walking for commencement to receive my Bachelors degree, and a promising career is lined up for me in the heart of Silicon Valley. Never stop dreaming.
