The numbers on his wrist continued to tick away, since the day Milah had died. Not one to give up on his lost love, he had the numbers covered often with a cuff, or the sleeve of his shirt. He wasn’t interested in looking for a new soulmate. Though he also knew that fate could be cruel and he didn’t always have a choice in the matter.

He and Smee had been walking through the forests in Neverland, searching for any way to get out of the land. Killian never liked it there and he had already gotten what he came for. Though when he turned to find Smee on the ground he furrowed his brow, bringing the lantern up to get a better look, before he suddenly found a knife to his neck.

The numbers were covered by his sleeve and he was unable to see that they had started to blink all 0’s. He turned towards the woman who had the knife to him… a fairy. Or at least she was one based on what she looked like. Though curious about how she got there he figured he could at least be friendly enough with the woman. Especially if there was a chance a little help could come from there.

Neal exhaled as he watched the number on his wrist slowly drop. He hadn’t looked at it in a while so he was surprised to see it led him here. There were loads of people around him, walking and talking, but he had to move into the crowed.

"Deep breaths," he whispered to no one as he pushed through the crowd. Muttering a sorry or ‘excuse me’ every once in a while. His heart beat wildly in his chest as he glanced back down on his wrist.

 He blinked a few times before beginning to run instead of politely move through. In an orchestra of, ‘watch its’ and apologies he bit his lip, anxiously waiting for his soul mate to greet him. That’s when he bumped into someone. “Sorry!” He shouted before helping here up on her feet, that’s when he saw the numbers on his wrist.

Neal looked at his wrist, then back at her. A smile found its way to his lips as he spoke.
