So, I thought about an art/writing combo challenge...
Tis very simple. Just follow the instructions
Step 1: Take post-its
Step 2: Draw a cute little oversimplified cartoony character on it. You're not allowed to put too much detail into this, it will promote your imagination. Colors are very important! Include hair, skin, eye color, expressions, important characteristics (scars, head covers (like crowns, scarfs, hoods), tatoos, jewelry) and basic clothes (1-2 layers)
Step 3: Do it for 3-6 different characters. You will start to see how they interconnect.
Step 4: Take out your artistry pro level pencils, and redraw them all on the same sheet of paper and scene, with details and everything. Make it pretty.
Step 5: Make a little spreadsheet with, for all of them: name (pick a random letter you have to make it up) personnality description with only words, situation (nobility, wealth, job, political opinions). Quick backstory if it's important and can explain their personnality. Relationship with others, including what complexes they cause them. Skills. Pick a world they live in, which can be, but not limited to: modern/futuristic/medieval, magical/mythical/real and ideal/conflictual.
Step 6: Take out your writer pro level brain, and write me a scene featuring all those characters, with at least an hint of who they are to each other and a little adventure they're having. You have to make the reader understand everything that was on your spreadsheet.
Tip: leaving it alone for a few hours maturing in your brain might be a good idea.
