Bookish Questions
I was tagged by: emilythebookdragon The Rules:⨠1. Always repost the rules⨠2. Answer the questions given by the person who tagged you â¨3. Give 11 questions of your own for people to answer⨠4. Tag 11 people
1. Favorite form of a book? I prefer physical books because ebooks normally give me headaches, and hardcover because I have flashbacks of my mom bending all my paperback covers to hell and back.
2. Favorite book recommended by a friend? Not really ârecommendedâ so much, but my fiancee let me borrow The Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg because they werenât reading it, and it was so captivating and just UGH I love it! HEAVY TOPICS if anyone is thinking of reading it, might be a lil triggering.
3. Favorite book recommended by a teacher/other adult: Call Me Maria by Judith Ortiz Cofer. Given to be by my sixth grade teacher, who recognized the similarities between myself and Maria and, like Maria, just wanted me to find my place in the world and bloom.
4. Next book on your TBR? The Chaos by Nalo Hopkinson or Racing the Dark by Alaya Dawn Johnson, whichever compels me more when they arrive.
5. Best book youâve read in 2016? I sadly have not finished a whole book this year, thanks to work, school, and mental health. *crosses fingers* hopefully thatâll change!
6. Who got you into reading? I think I mostly have elementary school to thank for that. Kids hated me, I hated them, so Iâd escape to the library every chance I got. I discovered The Baby-Sitters Club Books, fell in love with reading, and never looked back.
7. A book youâd recommend to people who donât read that often? If you like slow-build, Howlâs Moving Castle. If you like immediate drama, The Immortal Circus.
8. An understated book? The Immortal Circus. Itâs seriously a phenomenal trilogy and Iâm shocked more people havenât read it.Â
9. An overhyped book you didnât like? Good Omens.Â
10. Favorite book cover? Shatter Me has a gorgeous cover!
11. Favorite genre? Fantasy (particularly urban and futuristic fantasy), Sci-fi, and horror (though I have a hard time finding good horror that focuses on fear rather than just lots of gore)
My Questions:
1. A book you thought you wouldnât like that you ended up loving? 2. A book you thought youâd like but ended up hating? 3. Least favorite genre? 4. A book you refuse to read (and why)? 5. Favorite book-turned-movie? 6. Favorite author? 7. Favorite book starring a person of color? 8. A book that made you feel like you were dying when it ended? 9. Least favorite authors? 10. A book from your childhood? 11. Favorite quote from a book?
My laptop wonât let me tag in the post so Iâll be putting them in the actual tags, hope some of you see them!

38 & 29!
38: what qualities do you find annoying in a character?
When they just complain about everything or when they canât do anything without another character
29: favorite female protagonist.
Cammie Morgan from the Gallagher Girls Series??? (ally carter)
Luna Lovegood (both movie and book Luna)
OMG Luna is my precious cupcake flower child HOW DID YOU KNOW CAMILA
How I feel about this character: I ADORE HER *insert 10,000 heart emojis*
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Neville only. Dean who?
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Harry. Harry x Luna are such brotp goals.
My unpopular opinion about this character: I donât really have one??? I mean her character arc was so on point that I have no complaints.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish we had seen more of the Luna x Ginny x Hermione friendship. I know that in the books weâre narratively bound to Harry, but thatâs something I wish the filmmakers had expanded on in the movies.
Give me a character and Iâll break them down!
