no but honestly subby chan is a whole genre to explore because

i must say, i was a little put off by how audacious and almost spoiled she is because she just thinks she can claim anything as her own. however i feel like that's exactly what's bringing out the freaky zayne in the myth because like. everyone is sooo surprised how lovey dovey and open he is in this myth compared to everything else but what changed?? the mc changed!! she demands shit of him, like, she calls him out for not explaining stuff and says mouths are also for explaining so he tries to communicate more

she bites and demands kisses and his energy (or whatever that ritual was) so he gives her the affection and attention she asks for!! simple

that's what's lacking for me in the main story, and even in the 1st myth (2d i havent read yet) and some other cards. when mc stays quiet and tiptoes around what she wants, zayne has nothing to respond to so since he's naturally a pretty rigid, closed off and reserved person - nothing fuckin happens accordingly. or they're both awkward and slow yk

so yeah in conclusion, i think zayne needs someone slightly obnoxious in that way because otherwise things just wont go anywhere lmao

Back to the thank you part. Obviously lots of people are upset and you're probably getting a bunch of hate from people who are denying the evidence and don't want to face the obvious truth. That's got to be very draining.

I wanted to say thanks because every time dakusan posted I felt like shit. I know it's a me problem, but she was just so fast and engaging (and off-puttingly cocky? Is it bad of me to say that?)

I was genuinely considering deleting everything I'd written. I know we're not supposed to be comparing and competing because fandom space is about sharing our passions and creating a space for us to enjoy stuff.

But idk... Her attitude made me hate myself. Again, it's a me problem, but I've never felt that way about any other creator on here.

So to know she wasn't real, that she was just using ai for it all... Is depressing as hell, but makes me feel a little better at how slowly I write and burn out etc.

im still fully prepared for hate or even being confronted by daku herself but im pretty confident about my conclusions and judgments rn so daku is very welcome to have a word with me if she wants to. i wouldn't have made the post if i wasn't sure the truth is on my side

im very grateful for you sharing, and generally for everyone who texted me since i made the post. it's nice to see that ai in fact isn't completely fooling everyone, and we do feel the difference. but we're just too hesitant to point it out most times

regarding the pace, it also supports my arguments. she claimed to be a uni student + having a job on top. so i really do not see how you can be posting 10k fics 4 times a week and have 20 music albums made. it's just not humanly possible imo

what sucks is that this whole thing has made real writers feel bad about themselves. me kinda included ngl. but you really shouldn't. coz you and i, and all the other writers know how long it takes to make a thing, to edit, to proofread, to make sure it unfolds well and carries emotion you wanna convey. it's work, it takes time and energy! we're all adults with a full time schedule and life to deal with, it's okay to do things in your own pace.

firstly, i don't think you have a good understanding of how ai, or chat gpt specifically, works at the moment, and i mean it without any condescending vibes. in order to fully get it u really gotta use it for some time yourself

chat gpt has a very noticable tone of voice by default. it uses the very same language patterns, it has the same pace, same rhythm of speech. if you use chat gpt yourself you'll start to really notice it because if you don't teach the chat anything - it responds to you with that very default tov, which other users have already described in detail and i've left links to it in my callout post

you CAN teach chat gpt to write with your manneurisms by feeding it the reference examples and training the model, and it does slowly adapt to your tov too. but even when u do that, i've personally noticed glimpses of that same default tov seeping through then and again. because essentially, it's just a language learning algorithm. it juggles words around with a pattern it learned or it was programmed to do

so it's not like chat reads the entire tumblr and then starts to spit out perfectly human writing after learning from us all. it works a little differently, and trust me when you use chat gpt youself for any personal reasons (even just talking about ur emotions to it or whatever) you'll start to see that tov very clearly. no human writes like that

besides, when you read enough stuff, you're just able to tell whether there's emotion in the text or just empty metaphors and descriptions that don't evoke any feeling. it's a subtle thing but that's what ai, i believe, will never be able to do. i mean hopefully coz if it can we're fucked as a society lol

so, even mediocre/bad writing that has feeling and human touch is very distinguishable from ai writing imo. so no, i don't think any real writers are now in "danger". if you write shit yourself, you got nothing to worry about. it's not the bold or italic formatting that people are sus about. it's the human touch that we feel while reading. ai texts still give off uncanny valley effect thankfully, even if it's hard to pinpoint right away - you'll feel it

secondly, about witch hunting. imma be honest i didn't even wanna make the post when it was JUST about fanfiction because i just rolled my eyes and was like ok whatever ig. but what pushed me further was 1) the music 2) the goddamn patreon. because the audacity to take people's money after lying to them boils my blood and i felt like a particular user needed to be called out

i also must mention that she’s not the only person who (supposedly) does ai fics. i’ve seen smaller creators here and there with that same chat gpt tov, so it’s starting to be a more common thing and that’s also why i encourage to talk about it.

im also ???¿ about the difference between the main story and the event cards AND the audio dramas. like, it’s just a lil all over the place coz sometimes we get a cold as fuck barely interested in anything zayne who almost doesn’t give a shit about mc herself and sometimes he’s on his knees kissing her hands and being all affectionate (like the kitty event e.g. which i understand is a fanservice event but still)

like, you could write it off as a “natural progression” of their relationship but idk. it’s just..,, not it for me and i can’t even put my finger on what exactly feels kinda off

but generally i just feel like mc and zayne aren’t a good match lmao. the hunter x childhood friend doctor dynamic has potential but in the actual game i just feel a little dead inside whenever mc and zayne interact 🚬
