Although the junk journal is quite informal, you can customize it in your own way.
For example, you can decide to use only 3 colors and all the elements included in it would be the same colors, tones and hues.
Another idea is to use a unique color or theme in each booklet.
Deciding to make your journal a recipe book, it makes sense to choose papers with motifs of kitchen utensils, fruits, vegetables or use stickers that represent everything to do with food, add ad pages for grocery products, include a food packaging as page, a tea bag as a tag.
Look around you and ideas will flow.
