Junkensteinās possible story
I know this is late as all balls since itās not halloween and itās actually closer to saint patrickās day, but :P fuck it.
Okay, so the idea would be that, after the Witch of the Wilds leaves, Jamison Junkenstein and his new bestie, Mako theĀ āmonsterā are walking around the forest to gather supplies, such as firewood, forest foods and a deer for meat, when they spot a tiny child passed out on the ground.Ā
Upon seeing that she was alive, okay and her waking up and making her panic a bit at waking up to find strangers so close to her face without her realizing it. The two assure her that they arenāt going to hurt her and eventually calm her down enough to find that, no she was not with anyone else and also that she didnāt seem to speak.Ā
So, with no other choice other than leave the tiny child alone in the woods (which the fuck they were going to do) they take her home with them, Mako names her Molly, and eventually she starts picking up on how Junkenstein talks much like how hisĀ āmonsterā did as well as tinkering and three have wonderful family moments.Ā
One day a few people came to the house and threw rocks at it, breaking a window and leading to Mako covering both Jamie and Molly so they donāt get hurt. When Molly asked why they would do that, Jamie explained how, after the local lord made him an outcast, he wanted to not only prove the man wrong about his creations, but to make himself a friend, since no one around thought he was good enough, which led him to make a deal with a witch.
When Mako came to life and after a couple of days of Jamie, The witch, and Reaper helping him get used to everything, did he learn about the deal and become concerned for his friend. So he went to town to see if he could talk to this Lord and ask him to help his lanky pal be accepted at the very least. He had to go through the forest, so he took some weapons to defend himself against beasts. When he got to town, however, the people took one look at him and began to attack him.Ā
And while he does admit that it didnāt take long before his actions went from self defense to wrecking everyoneās shit because they are nasty a-holes and his friend is better off without them anyways so XP
One fall day, they realize they need to gather supplies from town and become uneasy, as they are still not well liked, Molly volunteered to sell some of the deer pelts they had for other supplies. The two men didnāt really like the idea, but she insisted on it, wanting to be helpful. Jamie gives her the few coins he has to get herself a treat while sheās in town and to be careful not to tell anyone where she came from and to scream if she needed them.
After a nod and putting on a cloak they gave her, she was off in the early morning fog, the two men walking with her until it cleared and they got closer to town. They told her they would wait by a stream for her and she continued onto town alone.
It started out well enough. she sold the pelts and got a decent amount for them. Then she picked up all the supplies she was told to get and even made friends with a hungry, three legged mutt that had been sitting by the bins by the butcher shop, in hopes of getting scraps before she offered him some of the deer jerky she had been given.
She had just bought a few treats to share with Jamie and Mako back home, as well as a biscuit for her new dog friend when she overhears someone bad talking her little family waiting for her by the stream in the woods.
They call Jamie a crazed lunatic and Mako a murderous monster and more, making her angry.
Those two were the only people who had ever been kind to her, who had treated her right and cared for her, before sheād even met them, the only interactions she had was with an evilĀ āladyā (Moira, a witch of deformment) who experimented on children for funsies.Ā
She blows up at the people talking shit, a powerful storm brewing overhead as this happens and the wind making her louder as she asks them if they ever considered that the two were simply lonely and wanted to be friends with the villagers and tells them all the ways they were wrong, both in what they said and in general, thunder booming at all the right times and lightning striking closer and closer to her as she yells at them, catching the attention of everyone in the area, including Ana, the local alchemist, and the witch of the wilds, who senses a powerful magic brewing nearby and is surprised to see it coming from a small child as the lightning nearly hits those who talked shit about Jamie and Mako and as she calms down and realizes that the lightning nearly hit them, the storm seems to calm down a bit.
The villagers are quickly able to figure out that Molly is the reason the weather acted up and immediately began trying to chase her out of town, her new dog friend helping her out by tripping the one in front before dashing up to follow her out of town and into the forest.Ā
The two of them run and run for the stream, many angry villagers still giving chase, armed with pitchforks, torches and more as they shout for her head.
Molly screams as she trips, her new dog friend growling defensively despite the overwhelming odds when Mako and Jamie come to their rescue, along with Reaper, who The witch ordered to keep the villagers from hurting the child.Ā
After the villagers flee, Reaper informs them that the witch will be by in a bit and they all go back to Jamieās house, Mako and the dog comforting her while she tries to figure out how all of that went to shit so fast.
Meanwhile, The head guard, Jack, informs the Lord of what happened in the marketplace, Ana piping in that Molly had a point about the treatment of Jamie and Mako and how her version of events makes much more sense in retrospect. The Lord frowns thoughtfully, wondering if he and his village really hurt those two as much as the little witch said they did.
Jack tells Ana off for believing the child and goes out to hunt her down, the Lord ordering him to bring her back safely because heād like to discuss what she had said in the market place more. Jack dismisses the childās words as nonsense, but tells his friend he will obey his and bring her back safely.
When Reaper, Jamie, Mako, Molly and Bob finally make it to Jamieās house, Reaper senses Jack and instantly knows that he will start something and tells them to wait for him to knock three times before opening the door before going to fight Jack.
While the two are fighting, The Witch of the Wilds and a cloaked companion pass them, talking in hushed tones before the cloaked one lets out a flying shield that knocks Jack into a shallow river and the three vanish before he resurfaces. Jack curses and crawls out of the river and heads home, knowing that tracking them in this state for another round would be foolish.
Jamie welcomes them with open arms and leads them into the kitchen, where Molly is still upset, but seemsĀ to be feeling better after thanks for her defending them and praise for her good job getting the much needed supplies and telling her she could keep the dog. Also puppy kisses, lots and lots of puppy kisses.Ā
When they all settle in for the treats Molly bought and tea, The Witch of the Wilds confirms that Molly is a witch, a powerful one at that, but since she realized that Moira was a cruel witch who would happily try to torture the child, she figured it would be best for her to stay and train her.Ā
She then introduces the summoner, saying that the favor Jamie owes her is allowing the summoner to stay with them for a while as well, that she has a few issues with humans and feels that being here with them, a group also exiled by humans while also including a human, might help her a bit with that. Saying that, while humans and dragons often donāt get along, she wanted to show her that not all humans are cruel and evil.
Jamie thinks the summoner is fucking hot and the little odd ball group is happy that their home is becoming more lively, so theyāre all pleased as punch at this arrangement. The summoner is a bit at odds at the idea of being so close to a human, but having two witches, a reaper, a creature such as Mako and a dog there too, it made her feel a bit better. Reaper is pleased because he knows Jack will keep coming for Molly and it means he can have lots of good fights to enjoy. And The Witch of the Wilds is excited at the idea of having an apprentice as well as good company.
The six of them make up an oddball little family and stumble upon a routine.
Jamie and the summoner become closer (both as friends and romantically) as he makes an arm for her, the witch of the wilds enjoys her time both teaching Molly, who she believes will make a great Witch of the Storms, and spending time with Mako (who shares that sentiment). Reaper becomes frienemies with Jack during all their daily fights and Molly and Bob are happy that their family is happy and love life.
Eventually, Ana convinces the Lord that theyāll go up with Jack to talk to Jamieās odd crew and apologize if need be. the Lord agrees, the guilt of the thought of being the reason why Jamie was so disliked and alone with nothing but his monster and maybe a little witch for company plaguing him for weeks to the point where Ana had been treating him for medical ailments due to stress and guilt.
When he goes up there with Ana and Jack, they find Jamie happy with his weird family, having a picnic. After an awkward moment of silence, Ana finally breaks it and asks if they could join them, pulling out some snacks sheād made to help barter peace with. After another awkward moment and a nod, they talk for a while. After agreeing that both sides fucked up and agreed to be more civil and that the lord would have the village treat them all with kindness and open arms, they all happily enjoyed a lovely picnic with a pretty view of the village.
āI must say,ā the lord said, relieved that all was well again, āI was not expecting you to have so much company when we arrived. I am glad that you have found so many smiling faces to surround yourself with!ā
āYeah, mate!ā Jamie said happily,Ā āāCause of you tellinā me all thaā stuff, I got me a little familyĀ āere now! If it wasnā fer you, Iād still be all by me lonesome up here! So thanks, mate! Now I never gotta be alone ever again!ā
And thatās what I got.
Hope you all liked it.
