The sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a welcoming morning glow across the thin sheets. The light gently prompts you awake, making you groan and screw your eyes tighter, not wanting to get up. But as with all things in life, you needed to push comfort aside and sit up.
Or try to, at least, if it weren’t for something tugging you back down. Turning to your side, you smiled at the sleeping face of Seon. His expression was peaceful, long eyelashes fluttered close, though he gave a tiny whine as you fidgeted against him. He wrapped his arm tighter around your waist, pulling you in closer. Tracing your finger across his smooth features, you admired how the sunbeams illuminated his rosy cheeks and red lips.
You pressed a kiss to his lips, and started peppering the rest of face with kisses. His eyes started to open, blinking a few times before settling on you. “Good morning, angel,” he murmured, in his deep and husky morning voice. Pressing a kiss to your forehead, he tucked you into his chest. Snuggling closer to him, you relaxed in his warmth as you two enjoyed each other’s presence, both not wanting to let go of one another.

Hwanwoong winced at the sound as he stepped into the living room, locking the door behind him. Looking over at the couch, a smile spread across his face as he saw you laying there, asleep. No matter how many times he had texted you to not stay up to wait for him, it seems like you never listened.
Kneeling beside the couch, he admired your pretty features, guilt filling him up inside. He knew how excited you were for his birthday, how you constantly bugged him for weeks about what he wanted as a present and talked excitedly about a birthday party. But with Oneus’ recent comeback and promotions, it was impossible for Hwanwoong to spend the special day with you, or even spend time with you in general. You were understanding about it, and told him that you would prepare dinner to celebrate instead, but Hwanwoong still felt bad.
“If you keep staring at me like that, I will punch you, Yeo Hwanwoong,” you said sleepily, startling your boyfriend. Sitting up and rubbing your eyes, you gave him a tired smile and cupped his face with your hands. “I know what you’re thinking right now, and I’m going to say it again - it’s ok if you can’t take the day off for your birthday, I know what I was getting into when I started dating you. Don’t ever feel bad for not spending enough time with me, or not being able to take me out on dates because of your schedule. I understand.”
“But you were so excited for my birthday, and I couldn’t spend the day with you because of promotions,” Hwanwoong took your hands off his cheeks and held them together in his hands. “I felt so guilty because you wanted a party and I couldn’t even make it in time for dinner. You didn’t have to stay up for me, you know, you have work tomorrow and you look exhausted-”
“What time is it?” You took your hands away from your boyfriend’s and scrambled for your phone, almost falling off the couch as your legs got tangled in the pile of blankets.
Hwanwoong quickly caught you and placed you back on the couch, then sat besides you. He got his phone out to check. “It’s 11:53.”
“So we still have 7 minutes left for your birthday!” You jumped up and grabbed Hwanwoong’s hand, pulling him to the kitchen, “I can heat up the food, but you need to blow out the candles on your cake first, come ooon~”
As he let you drag him to the food, Hwanwoong shook his head at your sudden burst of energy, but couldn’t help smiling. He’s exhausted from performing, drenched in sweat and about to collapse, yet he kept going because of you, his sunshine. The one who gets him up and going again, who’s willing to spend the last few minutes of his birthday with him no matter how tired they are. And that’s what makes this birthday special. Not some huge party or fancy date, but just spending these last 7 minutes with you.
I just suddenly got inspired out of nowhere wow, but I wanna do something for Woongie’s birthday today.
7 minutes = Oneus + To Moon, hoping to spend more birthdays with them~
Dedicating my first ever fic to @hee-jeong-ssi I hope you like it Squeechy~
You said these words as you tightly hugged your boyfriend, who stood there, shocked.
“Y/N, what are you doing? Aren’t you supposed to be at the airport-”
“I’m never leaving you again.” You stood back and looked at him. “We’ve been doing long distance for too long, Seoho, and I’m tired of it. I want to stay here with you.”
Seoho let out a tiny giggle at your words, his cheeks flushed at your adoring stare. He wrapped his arms around you tightly. “You love me so much that you can’t even leave me alone,” he teased, making you hit him lightly on the back.
“It doesn’t matter where you are, I just want to be with you.”
“No, Youngjo, we’ve been dragging this out for too long already. I have enough, and I know you feel the same too.”
You look at your husband, giving him one last sad smile. “i don’t regret spending these five years with you, but I do regret not breaking it off sooner when things went wrong. I’m done, Youngjo. With everything. I’m signing the divorce papers tomorrow and so are you.” With that, you turned your back on him and walked away before he could see you crying.
Youngjo watched your retreating figure helplessly, and sighed when he heard the front door slam. He looked down at the ring you gave him, sitting there in his hand, as a tear fell onto his palm.
