Jun 8 - made a vat of chili. Also killed some time refilling a bunch of different storage containers with assorted beans, lentils, barley, and so forth. Turns out one of the purchases my brother made sometime recently that I hadn't yet noticed was some semolina flour, so that also went into a storage container, and I baked a loaf of semolina sesame bread to try it out.
Crocheted a lot today, so I've managed to finish off the shell stitch scarf I was working on. As predicted, it came out a bit on the short side (at least for someone of my height) but since I've made it for gifting and the potential pool of recipients includes some kids and teens, I figure the length is just fine as it is.
Now to spend some time winding into cakes some of my recent yarn purchases that are still in balls or skeins, and decide what project I want to tackle next. I'm leaving off fixing the hoodie until closer to next fall, as I won't be wearing it before then anyway; also there's a fancy scarf I'd very much like to try making but it involves an actual stitch pattern (already purchased) and I'm not quite up to that level of crochet work yet, not when I'm still mostly just doing long strips of simple stitches. Need to find something somewhat fancier than what I'm already doing, but not that complex, so I can start working my way up to it.
Supper was chili with rice and a salad.
Mistigram: it's a choppy day out there on the sea today, according to AdeptApril's #ANSIart screen, but then it's World #Ocean Day, not world puddle day. Some waves, currents and tidal action are expected.
green palette please :)
