Today I had the pleasure, joy and honour to help organise and to witness two of the most incredible people, my Jumbulance big brother @jdavies1988 and best mate @carenzajordan get engaged to each other! Two years ago they met on a a Jumbulance holiday; today they got engaged on one 😭💖 Apparently it’s a Jumbulance first! Somewhere around six month ago I was FaceTiming Renza and Jason (from the assessment unit at llandough hospital at 1am!) when Jason told Caz he had to go to the other room to tell me something; lord knows what she thought 😂 but what he told me was that he was going to ask Carenza to marry him, and he’d bought a ring! He even showed me the ring. Ever since then, a select few members of the Jumbulance family have been in on the secret and planning away. Today I did something I’ve never done before; pretended to be ill on the toilet 😂! This was so Jade, Jason and I could get the bus to ourselves to decorate it. We covered it in fairy lights, tea lights, had a star projector, put up photos, and were playing Their Song (High Hopes by Panic! At The Disco) over the speakers. Paul also helped decorate, whilst Alex, Renza’s brother, distracted her, until we were ready. Apparently Paul got her in the bus by telling her I’d had a seizure on the loo and needed help 🙈😂 but it was worth the dent in my dignity to see the look on her face when she walked onto the Jumbulance. It was a really special thing for me and Jade to be a part of, both at the planning stages, and during the magical moment itself 💖 I’m so happy that two people who are so perfect for each other are facing such a beautiful future together 💖 By the way, I would like to mention that Jason dropped the ring off with Jade and I at 8am this morning, and we had to bloody carry it around all day 🙈😂!! I could’ve killed him! But it’s nice to know he trusts us that much! Jason, Carenza, I love you both beyond words. You are genuinely two of my favourite people, and two of the best people on this earth, and I’m so, so happy for you.
