“You know, most people don’t get to replace a rematch with dinner.”

“Lucky me then.” The biggest challenge they’d faced- especially as the making of the date consisted of ‘Ready for that rematch?’ ‘No, how about dinner instead?’ ‘Sure.’- was finding a place to eat that all eight feet and four hundred pounds of Looma would fit in. Eventually they’d given up, ordered a couple of pizzas, and settled in under a tree in a nearby park. There were bugs, and gawkers, but at least they were avoiding the worrying creak of a chair trying to support the weight of an adult tetramand.

“I still expect to have it, you know.” Julie nodded blithely.

“Uh-huh. Have you tried the wings yet?”

“No, are they good?”

“Amazing,” she passed them over, “they’re hot though, so if you want to you can put some blue cheese one them.” Only paying half attention- Looma’d shown up at the ass-end of practice and she was starving- she continued devouring her way through her medium sausage and mushroom. The princess tore the meat from the wings like a professional, getting through three before she started using the blue cheese.

“You know for such a fast paced species,” she said, wiping her mouth on the back of her hand, “this is a very slow method of seduction.”
