Dean breaks the kiss however, his thoughts picking away at his brain like bacterial contanimation. "If you do love me, why leave? You said a kiss won't make you stay, but that's all I can do. It feels like you didn't love me as much as yeaterday"1/2)
He cupped his brothers cheeks and just kept them there, staring into his eyes, seeing a thousand galaxies buried in his orbs. “I don’t want to lose you,” Dean nearly choked out the last few words, feeling emptier than ever before. (2/2 (: )
(assuming this is for the 1 sentence for 5? so here we go)
“It’s not forever,” Sam whispers, his tongue worrying away at the places that Dean’s lips had just been. “But I need to do this–I have to.”
“I don’t understand.” Dean’s voice is more for himself than it is for Sam, as though he’s vocalizing a thought in his head that wasn’t meant to be spoken out loud.
“I have loved you every day of my life, Dean. I love you now, I will love you when I leave and I will love you no matter where life takes us.” Sam clarifies, his hand reaching out to press against his Brother’s cheek. “This was never about you, Dean. Never even about ‘us’, it’s about me and what I need.”
Dean stares up at his taller Brother and he tries to work the words through his chest. Tries to find the salve in them that will soothe the ache in his bleeding heart. Because right now his chest is screaming with the fire of panic and he feels a slow crawling shadow of dread scaling up his spine.
“Promise me that I’m not losing you, not-not..forever.” Dean pleads, but drops his eyes so Sam can’t see how desperately so he is asking for him to promise this.
“Not forever. Not ever.” Sam promises and presses the words securely against Dean’s stubborn and worried over lips.
Sam repeats the words and fits in, “I promise you.”
When Dean finally kisses him back, it’s a different kind of promise being made. And it feels like, ‘I’d wait forever for you.’
