• Happiness Begins 💫 • 03.02.2020 ✨ • This time last year, I went to the Jonas brother’s concert right before the pandemic hit, little did I know it was going to be the first and last concert of 2020. I remember spontaneously booking tickets 3 days before the concert, getting one of the best seats in the house and to top it all off, I was dancing & singing to my heart’s content. Right there and then, I felt so free. I miss the crowds, how loudly we all echoed the lyrics back to the Jobros. Unexpectedly, due to the toughness of last year, I didn’t anticipate how frequently I grasped onto these moments like I was clasping onto straws. These previous memories constantly kept me afloat throughout last year. I’d constantly replay these videos to remind myself that better days are ahead. Back then, I thought my happiness began, but I was deceived. There were tons of turmoils, heartbreaks and tons of madness that sometimes I just needed a break. Thankfully, I just about endured & looking back, a year later, coming out of my social media detox, reflecting on my mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health, I’m the most happiest I’ve ever been in a long time, in ways I never thought possible . 🥺😁 In hindsight, those dark days weirdly do seem to glow now. Without the strife and the pain, your glow up would be non existent! Every bad experience, struggle, lockdown etc. will shape and mould you to be the person who you’re destined to be. To those struggling: cling onto hope and find moments in life where you were truly, deeply happy (like me during this concert) once you find it, remember how those moments felt and you’ll begin to feel better. You can get through this! Here’s to not only happiness beginning but continuing throughout our lives.
