i feel dumb asking this question, but i am a new user of sim file share and i saw the private button and it said no one will be able to download the file unless they know the hash. what is a hash? Does this mean that if I share the link that is private with someone then they will be able to download the item without issue? If I share a link that was originally public and then make it private, will the person still be able to down load the item using the same link? Thank you soooo much!
The hash is the long series of numbers and letters on the end of the download link. When you make a file private, the public link no longer works, so you’ll have to give downloaders the new, private link instead.
