he reminds these kids thhat theyre more than just property of WATCH (the way he wishes someone did for him) he takes care of these kids and keeps them safe (the way he couldnt for his little brother) he gives them gifts and happiness (the way heros SHOULD)

like sure it started as some stupid babysitting assignment but then he met these battered and broken children who were being abandoned by the people supposed to protect him and by god is tide going to do right by them no matter what it takes

Like the entire story is just auughhh Shockwave’s death, Tide’s reaction. I just wanna give Tide a hug man, it explains so much behind how he treats the Defenders. In episode 23 when Tide says he sees Shockwave in the Defenders… my heart

And L is so compelling, the way we know so little about her. Her glowing eyes, her lack of response… How aware was she of what she was doing? Did the sheer expanse of her powers completely overtake her and she just lost control over herself? Or did she have control, did she know exactly what she was doing? God she was alive for such a short amount of time but left such an impact

And the team, the Ball Blade Boys!!! They’re so silly!!! They don’t fit the rest of the angsty vibes, but honestly it was much needed comedy relief. I love them so much. I was personally offended when the Prime Defenders started making fun of them at the start of episode 24 (I’m in the middle of watching it rn)

I certainly find Dodgeboy way more compelling than Charlie ever intended - bro really dropped an 165 year old bouncy rubber man and did not elaborate like I wasn’t supposed to care about his history. I do. Where is more content about this guy, canon, fanon, whatever

Pretender's one of the Sovereign Five and Dodgeboy has a memorial library and seems generally fairly well-respected

but Jax? who split Elle into like eight pieces? who went against the ethos of Watch and killed someone?
