From Gavin, With Love

I pray that this post finds you well. I don't know when you might read this, or if you ever will but nonetheless, im writing. (Please excuse any grammar errors). But so much has happen in the past 365 Days and I will do us both a favor, and try to avoid the boring parts. 

Overall...this year was good...not the best, but still a blessing. I got to do a little traveling, LA & MIAMI and ive set it up so NYC & Brazil can happen next year. I found myself in my first publication!! Although online, I am still excited. The goal for next year is to get into some publications, both Print & Online, but more on that later. Professionally, I have found myself with a new company...something about your boss saying "If you think you deserve more money, then go get it" didn't sit well with me. (Dont worry, if all goes well you wont have to listen to those words). This year, we watched the Patriots win the Superbowl, Golden State win the Championship and currently the Panthers are 14-0 and the GOAT, Kobe Bean Bryant is retiring....THE NBA IS OVER...nevermind, Durant is still here. I know, i know...you dont care...You're probably wanting to know the purpose of this post. 

"Allow me a moment and dig a little deeper about me "changing organizations". Do yourself a favor and never let a man 'count your money'. In all fairness, I loved working for my past company. It was fun, the people were amazing, but my well being was more important. Its amazing how employers will tell you that your salary is "enough" but they wouldn't swap with you...what even more amazing is how they compare their salary from the 70's to the times of today lol. So after hearing "anybody can be replaced, so if you think you deserve more money, maybe you should go get it" I had to decide how much longer I wanted to be used. Once I realized how I was 'handled' on my way out and welcomed into my new position...I realized I made the right decision. Craziest part about the entire process...NOBODY was impressed by my past company. Apparently race scandals are frown upon. "  -- Gavin Bernard

Oh yea...so the point of this letter is to say THANK YOU. Over the past year, I've learned the importance of love & investment. People only come in your life for FOUR reasons....to add, subtract, multiply OR divide. (shoutout to Jalen Rose). Honestly, watching you grow I realize I want to cut the time it takes you to realize these things...IN HALF! To help with the process, I have begin working on goal for myself to build a bright future for us both. 

2016 IS UP NEXT

Photography: Land in 2 Publications -> Over 7k in Revenue  -> New Classes at the Light Factory

Personal: Save 3k -> Finish Reading "the Laws"

Professional: New Career (DONE)

Spiritual: Attend church more regularly and do more studying 

I know all of this doesn't make sense now..but soon it will. So the theme for 2016 has to be, making the most of the moment. Too may times, I've myself just accepting what I am given, and it's time out for that. As the new year has approaches...thank you for being an amazing amount of motivation. By the way, Ive created some goals for you also...It begins with you love learning how to properly save my name!

Well let go now...Just remember im proud of you. Every time I see you, I can't help but smile because I know we are true reflections for each other. Oh yea thanks for listening.
