Counting in Japanese! 　as always please let me know if I need to correct things.  This gets confusing to me really fast when I’m typing things out so I wouldn’t be surprised if something is messed up lol. 

The teens! 

to form numbers 11-19 start with juu and place the additional number you need directly after it.  it is much like counting with roman numerals。

Heyyyy anyone learning Japanese and French? or like Japanese through French or something. Like, I’m trying to set up my vocab so that it’s Japanese and the definitions are in French but I want to make sure that my notes are correct before I even begin to post it.

Object Particle

The marker を is attached to things or people, and means that they are the target of the verb. Subjects are often omitted in Japanese sentences. Unlike English, the location of the verbs are usually at the end of the sentence. を was once pronounced wo, but now it’s the [o] sound.

General Pronouns

This lesson also introduces the general pronouns これ、それ、あれ、and どれ、which translate to "this," "that," "that (over there)," and "which (one)," respectively.

(from my own notes lol) これ Kore=This, in front of me それ Sore=that, Next to you あれ Are=That, over there and どれ (dore) = "which?" for a thing in an unknown location. These together are the "ko-so-a-do" system of demonstratives.

Saying Thank You

The phrase "thank you" in Japanese is dependent on the situation. Below is a table of the most common forms, from least to most formal. Note that the formality increases with the length of the phrase.

Saying Thank You for a Past Action

If you'd like to thank someone for something they did in the past, you change the ございます ending to ございました。
