Found these garlic or Chinese chives at my local Asian grocery store. I picked them up because they looked like chives except for their flat, grasslike leaves, and I had to do a Google image search to find out what they were when I got home. A trip to the Asian market is always an adventure and I usually leave with: what I need (which usually makes up a quarter of the items I purchase...because shopping with big eyes), what looks good, something new to try, and a combination of the last two. I’m thinking of putting these garlic chives in soup and incorporating them in prawn dumplings, but I’m open to suggestions! What’s your favourite way of using there beautiful leaves?
